Marco “Fake News” Rubio
Okay, so you kinda gotta wonder where the hell Marco Rubio was when all the electricity was down in Puerto Rico and we could have done something about it.
He’s all over Twitter having hissy fits about the power being down in Venezuela. He blames it all on President Nicolás Maduro, who does seem to have have taken over in a coup coupled with a stolen election. He says Maduro doesn’t care about his people and that he’s ignoring needed repaires to the country’s infrastructure. That sounds kinda familiar.
Yesterday, Marco breathlessly reports.
And he gets a reply …
Marco saw “Germán Dam” under a story and that was all he needed to know, by gawd!
And so … Marco … I understand your outrage over a country having a sham election for president, that president seeing himself as above the law who won’t listen to the will of the people, and, by the way, when was the last time Trump asked for money for infrastructure?
Stay woke, Marco. You know, glass houses and all that.
And Marco said what about a Puerto Rico’s crumbling infrastructure? And he waxed eloquent with concern about a Puerto Rico’s hospitals that went without power and the hundreds who died as a result of US in action following the hurricane? Oh that’s right, he didn’t…
1Oh oh, Trumps critical reading skills are contagious!
2Floriduh, you were NOT listening. Marco told you during the Republicon primaries that he didn’t want to be a senator, it bored him. But no, you went ahead anyway and made him be one again. Expecting him to work for you or actually do the job is the definition of unreasonable expectations.

4Freakin’ Cheese monkey!
5…..and the city of Flint hasn’t had drinkable water in how many years??
6Do we have the correct pronunciation of your name?

Let me take a swing at it: Macro Boobio?
7Repugnantcans better hope some independent journalist named Spanish Dildo doesn’t start posting stories from the Venezuelan blackouts.
8Marco Rubio cares about the Venezuelans almost as much as he cares about the federal workers who couldn’t buy groceries or pay their bills for a month. Private contractors and some TSA employees are still waiting to be paid. Maybe think about them instead of scoring cheap political points off the Maduro regime.
And German Dam gets my vote for tweet of the month.
9Well, I can see why Rubio was outraged. The Germans are supposed to be so good at engineering, and then the damn Dam fails!
The weird thing is, I’ve seen Rubio questioning witnesses in committee hearings, and he’s cogent, coherent – really pretty impressive. I can only credit his staff, who must do a bang-up job prepping him so that he appears to have a functioning intellect. They need to babysit his phone, too.
10He gives a ___ about Venezuela, but doesn’t to US citizens in P.R. who are still struggling everyday ? Voters need give Rubio the boot.
11Huh. Just tonight, I watched the PBS program “Finding Your Roots, It featured Rubio and Paul Ryan. Both of their families came to the US pretty recently and both came, very obviously, in order to improve their fortunes.
Marco waxed eloquent, before the PBS cameras, about how welcoming the US is and how Americans don’t judge people by where they came from.
Gee, I wonder what his position on the Wall From Sea To Shining Sea is?
So then,
1] he does this stumble-bumble
and 2] he does nothing about Puerto Rico — a US territory and spitting distance from Cuba from which his own family fled ——- to the US.
If the world were just, his family would have run from Cuba to PR and he would be living there now. In fact, he would have caught one of those rolls of paper towels Trump was clowning around with.
12Now can we get back to the unfunny part of how bad things are in Venezuela. With this GOP lead Senate, and Dotard 45, the only US foreign policy is to “watch it burn”.
Oh the humanity…
