Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Shtuff’s About To Get Real!
1Nasty Woman here. I’ve started my “red, white and blue” evening. I added a healthy dose of cranberry liqueur to a standard martini. They just called Indiana for Trump. I am embarrased.
2slipstream esta un hombre malo.
I went to my polling place kinda hoping somebody would attempt to intimidate me. No such luck. Everybody was very nice. I voted for Hillary.
Bye-bye, orange doofus.
3I’m ready! Wine in hand and lots of refills available. Gonna be a long night I’m thinking.
4Chris Matthews to Rudy Ghouliani: I’ve known you for years; I never thought there was anything wrong with you until this election.
PRICELESS!
5Dressed all in blue on my way over to a watch party in the neighborhood.
6National Memo has a of some voter suppression efforts.

Ohio Portman called already – Clinton/Trump too close to call.
8Tammy Duckworth wins Illinois senate seat.
9Latest had CLinton up by 6% in North Carolina and 9% in Ohio
10Effin ‘ell eh? Marco Rubio, the short statured no show
11Why anybody would vote for Rubio is beyond me. He wasn’t subtle about making clear that the Senate bores him and he’s only using it as a stepping stone to the presidential campaign. I’d rather have a senator who gives a damn about the job he’s got.
12A friend sent me this wonderful selection of music just for tonight. I love all of them.

Good job in Maryland… Florida better pick it up!
14A phrase that has been going through my head all day:
“. . .and she did it all backwards and in high heels!”
15For you Western folk, I’m just making a few comments about Duval County, Florida–which has just gone for Hiliary. Duval is a blue-collar guys, ship-building county located close to the Georgia line. When Duval goes for Hillary, believe me, the race is over.
16Texas called for Trump.
17NPR has photos of unusual polling places across the country. They’re very interesting. Sorry, I don’t have the exact link. npr.com
18Este muy malo hombre is going to pour a snifter of most excellent aged Dos Maderas 5+5 PX ron w/a splash of Angostura and pina colada when we pass the PNR.
19Would 270ml’s of 80 proof rum be too much in one sitting? (yo penso, ‘pendejo…)
@Sandridge: How long are you planning to sit? You sure as hell won’t be standing.
20Myrnatoo, heh, with 270ml’s, don’t think even sitting is an option, sea state 7 carpet crawling more likely.
21This is the Comey effect playing out.
22I’m drinking tap water. Take that!
23I’m looking at NPR live and suddenly feeling less giddy.
24HELLUVA JOB, Customers!
Hillary led Donald in ballot by mail 5,500 to 6,600. You did this! Then, by helping Hazel with early voting calls, she beat hi during early voting 90,701 to 100,071.
YOU DID THIS! Hillary will be the first Democratic presidential candidate to win Fort Bend County since 1976!
25Wingnuts keep the house of ill repuke. Senate looks like it is slipping away, too. Not good.
26Hazel Lundy, after running her phone bank, and the working her tail off during early voting, totally rocked today running the show at Missouri City Baptist Church polling location. Despite several technical glitches, including but not limited to rebooting the Votesafe laptop numerous times. having to manually enter voters into the JBC for over an hour, and never getting the TDL reader working, managed to handle around 400 voters. On her feet most of the day continuously assisting voters with problems and handling everyone with respect and dignity. I felt it an honor to be her alternate judge, and would one day like to be as good at this stuff as she is.
27I love her, too, Dennis. It’s nice, though, to see other people sing her praises. Her phone delivered ballot by mail for Hillary.
28AZ is a mess! TV reports that polls had hundreds in line at 7 pm. Did not hear if all those people in line to vote, actually got to vote. Then AZ says it has over 800,000 votes to count and wont finish counting them for more than a week! Like What??? They didn’t plan ahead? Or is this another GOP screw job of the voters here?
29I feel like I’m going to hurl 🙁
30Papa, “screw job of the voters” is what snacilbupeR do best.
31Texas and Fort Bend results. Keep in mind they’re mostly showing early vote totals so far. The links will give updated numbers.
Fort Bend should be interesting if today’s polls stay similar to the EV.
My little county EVis 72% Repuke, sonuvabitch, it boggles my mind that 3/4 of the people I encounter can support such an evil, vile POS as TRaunch.

Nothing has updated for Fort Bend since the EVs were posted. What gives?
33Okay, maybe wishful thinking. But I’m gonna predict that a lot of “too close to call states” we’re seeing right now are gonna turn out to be places where repugnantcans have control over the number of voting machines in each precinct. Just like the Nevada lawsuit that got slapped down. Ridiculous. Suing for keeping the polls open too late. People were in line. It makes sense. This election seems to be the one with the most up to date results. If those results reflect numbers that are misleading due to thousands of people waiting in line to vote, repugnantcans could conceivably effect voter turnout on the west coast. Keep the faith. Breathe regular. It ain’t over till it’s over.

35@Barbara . . . . . ditto. But my precursor will be Grand Marnier along with some nice pita/hummus. Great combo.
36I have Nate Silver’s final prediction up on one screen, and I’m comparing as NBC makes the calls state-by-state on the other. So far Nate Silver is 100% correct. So relax, and have another glass of wine.
Anybody got nachos?
37Wall Street is reacting to possible T-rump win…down 700 points.
38Papa, It is not just Wall Street, international markets are falling fast and the Peso is off 11%
39Papa, Not just WS, most other world markets are diving (and many of them are actually open and trading at this US evening hour).
40Uh-oh. The Washington Post is calling Florida for Trump.
41I am feeling sick. Somebody please reassure me.
42So far Nate Silver is wrong about Florida, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. That’s an error of 48 electoral votes.
43NBC has called Florida and North Carolina for Trump. That’s two that Nate Silver got wrong. The trend is not good.
44I feel nauseated too. Might cry. I’m so disappointed in America. More misogynistic than I would have ever guessed. For me, and all the other women who have endure sexual assaults, the knowledge that so many Americans have voted for a creature who thinks it’s funny is frightening. Very frightening.
45“no one in this world, as far as I know…has ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people”
H.L. Mencken
Voter suppression + Koch money/CU + media dysfunction = where we are and where we are going. A dark, terrifying path.
What we will get: the ruination of the Supreme Court for a generation, privatization, loss of Social Security and Medicare, & drowning the government in the bathtub. The voters don’t know what they are in for. President Pence indeed.
46Help me Obi Wan Kanobi you’re my only hope.
47Debbo, my shellshocked ex-wife called a couple of hours ago and was discussing those same sort of issues, she’s been really upset with the whole TRaunch scene, I’ve never seen her like this (and she’s a Mx-Am too, so also upset by the other T&R stuff).
48I personally consider that stuff fairly minor. Although a damning indicator of his character, and that of his supporters. I mean, I was finally convinced that Hillary would walk away with it, after being extremely cynical earlier.
What scares thelivinshit outta me is what he’ll do to the whole effen world and the financial systems.
This may be The End…Fock
Oh boy, PBS just mentioned that the Canadian immigration website has crashed…
49Sandridge, strange you should mention that. I’m looking at their health care system. Unfortunately I have eye disease that requires injections, so the whole business of health care is daunting to me. And my investments?
