Losing Your Last Friend

Trump the Lump has now given up on being Most Popular.

My Granny Rose use to tell the story about being at a parade. As she was watching one of her daughters march with the high school band, there was one young student marching horribly out of step.  “Oh look,” said the woman next to her, who was obviously that student’s mother, “everybody is marching out of step except for my Joseph.”

Trump is Joseph. He’s now mad at Fox News.

President Donald Trump on Sunday slammed his preferred news network over recent unfavorable poll results, saying: “There’s something going on at Fox [News], I’ll tell you right now. And I’m not happy with it.”

And he’s also had  spat with a long time best friend.  The spat is over money, of course.

Tom Barrack and Donald Trump have been friends and confidants for more than three decades — the two men are so close, for instance, that Barrack comforted Trump during the funeral of his father, Fred.

But the intimate relationship between the wealthy California investor and the president has fractured so badly that the two no longer speak, current and former White House officials say.

Oh my, I think his friendship list is down to three WWF wrestlers and Mitch McConnell.  Hell, even Mike Pence thinks he’s the devil.

Donnie without friends is no surprise. Unfortunately there is no end to the destructive sycophants in his maladministration doing maximum damage. What Phuckface von Clown Stick is doing cloaks the mischief being wrought by his minions.

McConnell would suck up to anyone who drops coins into his slot with any regularity, and 3 WWF wrestlers?

  5. Guess Trump figures he doesn’t need Fox News because Trump Twitter is more accurate.

Best case secenario, Trump is woefully behind in the polls October 2020 so he starts pouring his own money into hats and other advertising. Then, even his kids turn against him for wasting their “well deserved” inheritance.

Mr. Phillips@3, there is not much of anything more fake than ‘professional’ wrestling, except IQ4.5. Among all the “very best people” Donnie dropped into his swamp of a maladministration was one Linda McMahon. She served as his Administrator of the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019. Her qualification? She was married to Vince McMahon, owner of the WWF. WWF? The “F” is for fake, one of the Ws is for wrestling; not sure about the other W. Maybe whatever, as in whatever the hell was that fake show Donnie hosted.

@ Old Fart: I agree – Trump’s angry that someone was running a scam, and didn’t give Trump a big chunk of the money.

I gotta call BS on the second story. People like Trump do not have friends. And if Barrack “comforted” him at his father’s funeral, it was because the old man did not leave him as much money as he hoped for. Or maybe the father put in some stringent requirements before he could inherit, like “put on a funeral, pay for a coffin and grave site”. And knowing his son’s tendencies, probably required that both be paid in full so he would not get dug up and dumped in Jamaica Bay.

Trump-like people only have people they use or get used by. Friendship requires some basic mental and emotional capacity that Trump simply does not have. It’s like expecting a cockroach to mourn another roach’s death.

Can anyone, even a fervent Trump supporter, point to a single incident in his life when he did something for someone else, with his own time and money? I’ll be over here in the corner waiting for a single example … but not holding my breath.

  10. The mention of Tom Barrack made me wonder, who consoled Donny when his best friend Jeff Epstein died ??

    10
  11. Epstein put his assets into a trust, according to the Post.

“The multimillionaire convicted pedophile was worth $577,672,654, or about $18 million more than he previously stated in court papers when futilely trying to land bail on federal sex-trafficking charges, the new documents show,” the Post explained. “There are no details on the trust’s beneficiaries.
The court papers note that Epstein’s only potential heir was his brother, Mark Epstein. But the will adds that Mark only had a claim to his brother’s extensive holdings if Jeffrey hadn’t left behind the document.”

  12. Friends? I hear that the Mooch has written a tell all book on Trump and it ain’t friendly. Haven’t read it. Saving all my pennies for the unredacted Mueller report. If anyone has cast eyes on what Mooch wrote, can we all hear about it?

So, is this Barrack person some sort of Nigerian or something?
    How does that work?
