Lookin’ Grimm

Sometimes Karma is a lovely lady.

Screen Shot 2014-04-28 at 10.26.47 AMNew York Republican Congressvulture Michael Grimm, who got nationally famous for threatening to throw a reporter off the baling at the capitol and adding that he’ll “break you in half,” met Miss Karma this morning.

U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm, R-New York, was taken into federal custody on charges relating to a failed restaurant business and allegations that he made false statements, law enforcement officials said Monday.

Grimm is charged with God only knows how many counts, including mail fraud, wire fraud and tax fraud.  He’s a former FBI agent and is claiming the FBI is on a “politically driven vendetta” to get him.

Maybe they want to throw him off a balcony, I dunno.

Be social and share!

  1. His behavior is the perfect proof of his lack of character.

  2. Not so much Miss Karma as Miss Conduct.

I just read on-line that he has 20 — TWENTY — charges being brought against him! LOL I believe poor Michael may be looking grimmer then grimm very quickly!

Yessiree … that Karma really is a bitch! Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy and ALL Repukes should be so lucky, eh?!?

  4. Man, they have been hauling them in by the truck-load. All GOPers. We may get a Democrat majority rule in both houses simply by attrition.

    Bug, meet windshield.

  6. Those threats made it obvious he’s a thug.

  7. I’ve been in the building where Grimm threatened to throw the reporter over the railing and down to the floor below. The floor below is like 30 feet down and totally hard cold marble. That part of the building is done rotunda style and is a main transept for foot traffic. There is always someone coming and going and very often large groups of visitors and building residents. Ten to one his temperment is one good reason why he is no longer with the FBI. With 20 strikes against him, he really should start packing and cleaning out his office. One would be bad enough but he has 19 extra to carry. He is on the teevee right now swearing that he is not guilty of anything. Oh yup. Right. And the federal prosecutor handling the case (African American female) is framing him?????? I’m gonna stayed tuned on this one!

  8. The interesting part about this is he cannot by any stretch of the imagination continue to claim innocence.

I was involved in an audit by the CA Sales Tax agency. They have many ways to prove he is lying. One easy formula deals with purchases as opposed to sales. Newer restaurant/bar businesses rarely have terms and mostly pay COD until they have established themselves. It will be up to him to prove that they are wrong, ain’t easy especially with known vendors and deliveries. Those vendors will or have already complied with discovery in this matter. Never, ever shortchange the State, they will beat you down faster then the FEDS.

It’s obvious his employees care nothing for him and are a great testimony to his deceit.

I’m guessing it’s a bit too late for the anger management classes.

I’d like to know what his MMPI results were from the FBI. I’m concerned they missed something with him. And that means they missed others too.

My old buddy, “Fryer” Tuck, took off his cap to light a fresh Lucky from the stove burner, put the cap back on, then sat down and pointed at an article with the two fingers holding the cig.

“Says here the U.S. Attorney is a gal named Loretta Lynch. Lucky for him she ain’t the judge with that name. They oughta call her the ‘Grimm’ Reaper.”

“Also says Grimm said the investigation was a political witch hunt to assassinate his character and remove him from office.”

    “Is it?” I asked.

“Nah,” he said, taking a drag first from his Lucky, then from his Lone Star, “you gotta have a character to assassinate, first.”

    Another puff, another pull.

“Second, no self-respecting witch would ever run as a Staten Island Republican.”

Hey, I protest! The term “Congressvulture” is misleading about the true nature of vultures, turkey vultures anyway. Or maybe not.

  12. Let’s hope this slimeball gets his just deserts. Not likely, I know, but possible.

    12
  13. Remember DeLay in 2006? DeLay could not get off of the ballot after the GOP primary and so the GOP ended up relying on a write on candidate. The same legal principle applies to the NY CD 11. Grim is on the ballot unless he moves out of state or get appointed to a judicial post. The GOP will have a hard time replacing Grim on the ballot and so Grim will have to run in the general as an indicted congresscritter.

  17. So guess what committee he’s stepped down from – I mean seriously talk about the fox in the henhouse

Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) asked to be removed from the House Financial Services Committee in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Monday.

Grimm was indicted on 20 counts of fraud earlier Monday. He pled not guilty to the charges, which include federal mail, wire and tax fraud.

In his letter to the speaker, Grimm asked to be removed from the committee until the case is resolved.

Boehner spokesman Michael Steel confirmed the speaker’s receipt of the letter.

“The Speaker believes Rep. Grimm’s decision is appropriate under the circumstances,” he said.

    Ya think?

There are plenty of Republicans in New York State. The only place they hold the majority (in elected offices) in New York City is Staten Island, and that’s not by much. Richmond County (SI) has more registered Democrats than Republicans, so it’s the same old problem: getting them to the polls more often than every four years! Of NYC’s five counties (Manhattan, where I live, is NY County, Brooklyn is Kings, Queens is – duh – Queens, The Bronx is Bronx, and Staten Island is Richmond), Staten Island is the least populous, and the third largest in area. That is changing as more city dwellers seek more affordable housing. OTOH, SI got hit VERY hard by Hurricane Sandy, and, comparatively speaking, there aren’t that many vacant apartments for rent. I have a couple of friends who live there, who are doing their best to turn Richmond County Blue!
