Look, She Has a Baby in her Tummy!

Reason # 7,895 why men should just shuddup about women’s healthcare.

Just shut the hell up, Buddy.

imagesAn abortion bill was pending before the Idaho House of Representatives.  One of Republican man had a bright idea.

According to the Associated Press, Idaho Rep. Vito Barbieri (R) asked a doctor testifying before the House State Affairs Committee whether a woman could have a remote gynecological exam by swallowing a tiny camera. Dr. Julie Madsen told him no, that’s not possible, because items that are swallowed do not end up in the vagina.

No matter what your wife told you, sir.

Thanks to David for the heads up.

  1. Wa Skeptic says:

Oh, the Home-schooled stupid does burn. How do these folks keep reproducing??

  2. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Fair is fair. In the case of Vito, it’s only fair that Ben Carson perform his next neurological exam with a colonoscopy.

  3. The distinguished representative should try swallowing the camera hisownself, then stick his head up his a$$ and watch where it goes. And the bar goes lower.

  4. Marcia in CO says:

How can they be so damned stupid? HOW?

  5. OMG. I thought RepubliKKKlans were stupid, but this is out of this world… I am laughing so hard I can barely type. How can they give opinion and make laws that concerning women if they do not even know the basics. They are so incredibly stupid they will never understand how stupid they are…

    Good Lord, that’s funny.

  7. When most people heard Doug Feith described as the “stupidest (freaking) man on the planet” – they didn’t view it as a challenge.

Perhaps we should submit this man’s name to the Guiness Book of Records? The sad thing is, he’s got plenty of competition.

    7
  8. This guy, believe it or not, has a law degree. And a wife (named Joy) but no kids…imagine that.

    8
  9. Ohhhhh, he is the total dictionary picture of stupid!

    9
  10. Marion (formerly known as MM) says:

I LOVE that doctor’s response. Simple, understated, the way it is.

    The lawmaker, not so much.

    10
  11. OK, mama close your eyes.

Vito – I’m sure your wife was the one that got you all mixed. She refused to give you a blow job because if she swallows she could get pregnant!

    11
  12. Funny how Republicans can only think of the vagina in terms of surveillance.

    12
  13. Aggieland Liz says:

Guess the education budget has been pretty low there for a long time…wow!

    13
  14. Is Rep Vito’s brain attached to some sort of mechanical life support?

    14
  15. If Vito swallowed the camera, after a while you’d get a picture of his face.

    15
  16. I am going to assume that Rep. Vito could not manage to find his own ass with both hands and a flashlight.

    16
  17. This is one of the funniest posts and comment threads Ever! Thank you all so much! Hahahahahahahaha!!!

    17
  18. @LynnN: as the saying goes: Rep. Vito is too stupid to empty sand from his shoe even with instructions printed on the shoe’s sole.

Like I mentioned previously, wingnuts take stoopidity as a challenge. I wonder what the winner wins?

  20. Sharyn Rothgarn says:

Well, I couldn’t believe it when someone said he had a law degree; but, I guess, if Michele Bachmann can have one, he can, too! However, I did see (for all you Texans) he was “borned” in Texas! I guess he was even too stooopid to make it in politics there, so he moved to Idaho???

    20
  21. Stay classy, Idaho GOP.This story, which ran in the Boise newspaper, concludes:

“This isn’t the first time Idaho lawmakers have received attention while debating abortion legislation.

“In 2013, Republican Rep. Ron Mendive drew audible gasps in a committee when he asked if the American Civil Liberties Union-Idaho’s pro-abortion stance also meant they supported prostitution. A year prior, Republican Sen. Chuck Winder drew national criticism after he suggested on the Senate floor that a doctor should ask a woman who says she was raped and became pregnant if the pregnancy could have been the result of ‘normal relations in a marriage’ rather than rape.”

My cousin, Jesus Hachecristo, wears many hats, include jackleg welder, jackleg preacher, and jackleg distiller. Recently, he’s been billing himself as an Indian fishing guide named “Caddo Joe” up on Lake Sam Rayburn. But that’s another story, entirely. Anyhoo, he’s been all over this remote gynecology thing for a long time, providing examination services to uneducated women.

    Only he calls it “Skype.”

He also has a t-shirt with a pink ribbon and “Free Breast Exam” written on it.

    22
  23. e platypus onion says:

I’ve tried that free breast cancer exam and it don’t work . Must be my icy cold hands.

    23
  24. LLLLOooooVe the implied insult in the last line!!!!!
And that the dimwit was so stupid that he may believe it!!!

    24
  25. Dayum son, did you sleep through high school biology? The boys in my middle school sniggering on the playground at recess knew more than this. Vito, if you don’t know how to use teh Google go to your nearest public library. The Reference Librarian can help.

    25
  26. I guess he thinks that everything inside a woman is just kinda Parts, and they all must hook up someplace.

    26
  27. Ah yes, another GOP legislator who feels he has best sense of which medical procedures need in-person hands-on exams and which do not. Obviously a lack of biology training is no impediment.

I reckon that when it comes to lady parts he thinks, “well I’d like thinking about handling them, so we’ll mandate hands-on exams.”

    27
  28. I keep waiting for someone to make a movie about this Era of Republican Eye-openers.

    28
  29. Idaho Rep. Vito Barbieri does make a strong argument for sex education classes in schools.

Although as Wa Skeptic pointed out, maybe without it a few will leave the gene pool due to the confusion in how, what and where.

    29
  30. This fool reminds me of the video footage of why Washington’s first giant pandas, the late lamented Ling and Hsing, weren’t having any cubs for a long time. Ling had a brief period of wanting it, but Hsing, bless his heart, was a bit confused and at one point was apparently trying to put in her ear.

    30
  31. All these years Vito has been ‘knocking on the back door’ because his wife told him that was where to go. If he has any children, maybe he should check their DNA.

    31
  32. If their answer to climate change questions and legislation is “I’m not a scientist”, then their answer to any and all questions/legislation involving “lady parts” should be “I’m not a gynecologist”.

    32
  33. The closest connection to the digestive system and the reproductive system is that both (as well as many other systems) are innervated (not enervated) by the vagus nerve. What a maroon (in my best Bugs Bunny voice).
