Local Update

October 17, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so the local Republican boys threw their friend under the bus.  Here’s the statement that came out of the private, super secret meeting the Republicans had:

PRESS RELEASE for immediate dissemination

At an executive committee meeting on October 15, 2012, the Republican Party of Fort Bend County withdrew its support for the candidacy of Bruce Fleming for Commissioner, Precinct One. This action was the result of a loss of trust in the candidate. It is the Party’s firm belief that its candidates should hold and exhibit certain ethical standards. One of those is the sanctity of the vote. The Republican Party of Fort Bend County considers this to be of the utmost importance and believes that if it cannot be sure that a candidate agrees with and follows those standards, then the Party will not support the candidate.

And Fleming will not give them their $10,000 back.

When this story finishes coming out – no, it’s not over yet – the few good guys left in the local GOP will have deep concerns about Rick Miller’s character and some rather obvious  concerns about sheriff candidate Troy Nehl’s judgement.  Plus, now they have to worry if Bruce Fleming is smart enough to start talking about them.

And I want a damn apology from Cathy Engelbretch.  If I say it’s Christmas, you better go buy some little twinkling lights, Honey.  Don’t you ever again accuse me of not having proof, Cathy.  Not having proof is your street corner.  I don’t work that corner.

One other thing.  Here’s Rick Miller’s tweets from last night:

Okay, Rick, three questions:

1.  If the government can’t create jobs, why do you blame the President for not creating jobs?    Do you get dizzy running in circles like that?

2.  For a man who has spent his entire life in a government job and is running for another government job, did you drink a big ole swig of idiot juice before you tweeted that?

3.  What did you know about Bruce Fleming and when did you know it?

Be social and share!

  3. I don’t live in FBC so I don’t know this…do METRO buses run there? If not, it sure looks like the kiddies at the county GOP headquarters drug Bruce Fleming to Fannin Street in downtown Houston, waited for a passing bus, and threw him under it.

Turkey season opens in Fort Bend County on Nov. 3. The bag limit is one gobbler.

I hope Bruce is out of town by that time.

The story about Fleming/Miller reflect Juanita’s professionalism in following this sordid political trail.

What happens if Bruce Fleming pulls this off and wins because all of his good ole boys vote for him? When is the rest of the story coming out about Thriller Miller and Hells Nehls? We have some LEGAL voting to do in Fort Bend in a couple of days and we need to vote fully informed. Fleming will keep hush-hush about what he knows about his GOP brothers cause you know they all have a plan B when they get caught in plan A.
