Heads up! Here is the new Fort Bend Republican Headquarters. I’m not joking. It’s off Crabb River Road and used to be Z-Bar – a place where if you didn’t bring a gun, they rented you one at the door.
But now it’s “Freedom Hall: A Home Built by Conservative Values.” I have pictures to prove it. Best I can figure that means it’s an event venue for your third marriage, a p***y grabbing practice arena, and a Covid distribution center.
t’s at Crabb River Road and the freeway. Bunches of big candidate signs are out front and the place looks to be filled with stacks of yard signs that people won’t put in their yards.

Conservative values? Trump must have taught them how to steal the money to buy it.
If it ws built by “conservative values”, does this mean they refused to pay the contractors?
1It would help if they posted a sign on the building listing exactly what “conservative values” underlie that building. I wonder if they are capable of such a thing?
Note: there are a lot of building foundation issues in Texas, with home concrete slabs subject to moving and breaking, causing multiple problems for the structure (drywall cracking, doors and windows sticking etc.). Analogy?
2Reach into the used mask barrel if you’re put off by the ever present urine smell from the Z-bar days… They’re FREE.
3Between the various roofing materials and the overhanging tree my first thought when I saw the picture, was that the center section of roof had caved in.
My guess is that the owner of the place can’t find a tenant right now, so he offered to the local party for a token rent, until he can find a paying customer. (or the prior barkeep can scam enough money to re-open. I assume that the joint closed after the great shutdown..)
4Those Conservative Values look a little ramshackle, like they’ve seen better days.
5Just curious … how is the ADA access from the parking lot, and on into the Freedom/conservative values building its self? Anything even vaguely up to code?
6C’mon, let’s credit where credit is due. A thatch roof Tiki bar is a good addition to any political gathering. Other than that it looks like just another run down biker bar.
7Sorry, this was the first thing that fermented in my head and I had the overwhelming urge to share it with my favorite tonsorial establishment.

8OMG. I’m not even a mile from that. I love bars. I love bars with live music. I was just writing a friend about that. There is a serious dearth of what I love in this area. And then somebody does this? OMG.
9There was a TV news segment on the San Antonio Rethug Party having a shindig outside their local HQ [on Starcrest], which looked a lot like that; with a lot of flag waving Trumpanzees and drive-by horn honking.
It’s all part of the Rethugs current “Opeation MAGA”, which is one of the PR things they are feverishly doing to counteract the damage that Kamerad Donnei did with his debate performance.
10Is it a gene, or what, that causes people who claim to be conservative to do things that seem calculated to make them look ridiculous?
11Way far from Fort Bend County, the Maryland Republicans put out a call Friday for supporters to converge on Walter Reed hospital in support of Trump.
You have seen how that worked out.
It’s true that Reed is in Montgomery County where Republicans are scarce. But he roads to there are mostly paved.
12There’s a Cincinnati mainstay grocery store called Jungle Jim’s. Lots of kitschy jungle-themed decorations … and this looks like a trailer trash offshoot of it. Tiki bars have far more class than this thing in Ft. Bend County.
[Really, Jungle Jim’s is probably the best sight in Cincinnati, and you have to see it and roam around it to believe it.]
13OMG! That looks like a leftover from he Beverly Hillbillies before the migrated to LaLaLand! Yard signs that nobody is using?
Well, I’ll tellya. My neighborhood is saturated with Biden Harris Signs. There is one exception. House on a corner behind a grove of trees. A Trump banner has been hung high up between two trees and there are numerous other such signs further down and on the lawn. It screams “desperate!”
14My neighborhood has sprouted Trump-Pence signs in the past few days, the one Biden sign is in the yard of the little black enclave of the people who farmed this land years ago.
(I don’t have a sign since I live down a private road where nobody could see it.)
Two of our state senators are pushing for Maryland’s new representative in the Congressional statuary hall to be Whittaker Chambers, something I would consider on its merits, but they blew their cover by saying he helped advance the work of the House Un-American activities Committee.
