I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.

Anybody else watching the Vietnam series and seeing some parallels here?
1You know, this almost makes me miss Trent Lott.
2Second, third, fourth and fifth choruses worse than the first of their “repeal and replace” chant. We already raked Dean Heller over the coals as regards this latest draconian version of st00pid. 70+ % of Americans want/support a bi-partisan effort to fix the ACA.
We deserve better than being held hostage to Donnie’s deplorable who are the 25% of the st00pid ready to go coyote ugly and gnaw off their own limbs rather than doing anything sensible.
Call, write, and e-mail your Congress varmints. Surely there are at least 3-4 Senators amongst the snacilbupeR with a survival instinct. Hell, even the self-surviving Outlaw Jersey Whale understands this latest rendition is crap.
3Next time you hear a politician speaking, any politician shout this out – ” That’s a Duckspeaker!” That’s the term that describes them to a T!

5Fred Farklestone, just checked our e-mail for a response from Senator Heller. No word yet. But there was a ‘warning’ from the DSSC in our inbox about the snacilbupeR not knowing how many would lose health care with the latest version Graham-Cassidy.
Wake up DSSC, it’s not “knowing how many” it’s a flat out NOT caring. Seriously Democrats in Congress do not allow the Gish Galloping lying gas lighters across the aisle to frame the debate. Do not succumb to their terms and misleading phraseology. Call out their callous disregard for what it is: st00pid pandering to the least informed of their ignorant base.
6To answer the question the title asks, um, that would be: No.
7And now Alaska can keep Obamacare if only that fickle Senator Murkowski votes yes?
I’ve heard she takes calls from out-of-staters so have at it.

Yes, I too have heard that Murkowski, Collins and other “undecideds, waverings” are open to non-constituent calls. Go for it!

What is scaring me is the fact that Susan Collins, who is one of the one’s we are hoping won’t go along with the bill, worked with Cassidy in drawing up a bill that smelled a lot like this latest offering of Cassidy and Graham.

11I have been emailing Murkowski, Collins and McCain and calling my worthless PA Repug Senator, Toomey, and will keep at it, but can’t believe these privileged people think most of America doesn’t see the hypocrisy, greed and cruelty. If they pass this travesty of a wealthcare bill, I have to think it might finally sink the Repug party.
12I, too, am watching “Vietnam” and discussing it with my brother who spent a year in the infantry over there. I also see a similarity in our attempts to prop up the “democracy” in Afghanistan, with calls for more and more ground troops.

I’m taping the VN documentary. I lost relatives early and friends later in VN. For the same reason it took me 10 years following his death to open my sainted father’s foot locker, it likely will take me years to finish this documentary.

15The Republican Party is blind, deaf, uncaring, unchristian, unAmerican, and evil. They are out for themselves only. They worship the god greed. We must take back our country from this pestilence. The only way to do that is educate and vote. Stand together. 200 + million of us. 52 of them.
16@maryelle, I was thinking of Afghanistan too. Go in with good intentions but absolutely no idea of the people, their culture, or their history, and don’t bother to find out. Prop up a corrupt puppet government so the people can hate them as much as they hate you, their invaders. For good measure, use “pacification” which includes driving 20% of the population out of their homes and killing untold numbers of civilians because they looked like the enemy (even the babies). Not “winning hearts and minds,” folks.
@Micr, I don’t know if you want to watch. The number of Americans killed due to sheer stupidity and arrogant ignorance higher up the line is sickening enough when I didn’t lose anybody over there. Not to mention the carnage inflicted on the Vietnamese people. Though I suspect it would be much the same in any war.
17This is purely political. The Koch Brothers have warned that they won’t give them any money if they don’t repeal and replace.

20Little Lindsey Graham shows his true stripes when the offer to name a bill after him in return for delivering his buddy’s (John McCain) vote is dumped in the trough.
He proves he is in full compliance with the only Trump Doctrine I’ve seen, and that is to remove all possible evidence that a black man has successfully served as President of these still United States.
Let him eat cake.
21Thanks RA, I just wrote to both of the Tory tools. It’s always funny to write to Cornyn; even if I’ve flamed him he puts me on his mailing list as if I was his biggest fan.
22Jill Ann, I don’t write to my senators often because I don’t need to. Senators Klobuchar and Franken are good people who listen and help. I mostly contact them in the off season to offer thanks and encouragement.
During sessions I’m busier with others, especially my jackass rep, Jason Loser Lewis. He’s a freshman snacilbupeR, avoids his constituents like the plague, meets only with rich donors whenever they summon him. I try to contact him a lot. That’s not because it will do any good, but because I don’t want that rat bastard to honestly claim, “I haven’t heard any complaints,” or some similar scheit. Lewis is more worthless than flattened, maggot-ridden roadkill and I’m going to do everything I can to keep him to one term.
