Kinda Good News

I told you about the Los Angeles Unified School District loading up on war machinery.

Well, there’s been a slight change of heart.

The 40mm less-lethal weapons (referred to in the media as grenade launchers) are not essential life-saving items within the scope, duties and mission of the Los Angeles School Police Department. We at the Los Angeles School Police Department (LASPD) would not utilize this weapon within a school environment. These three weapons will be removed from our equipment inventory.

So, they are giving back the grenade launchers.  However, the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles stay.  You never know when somebody is going to plant mine on the playground.

Yep – they are keeping the muscle cars.

You never know.

Thanks to Scott for the heads up.
