Keeping Up With Alex Jones

March 07, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

This is just an update on my son Mark and Alex Jones.  They have a deposition today in Austin with Jones.

The Alex Jones lawyers filed an appeal wanting to either stop the Jones deposition scheduled for today or postpone it indefinitely.  Yesterday morning the Appeals Court unanimously voted no, and the deposition will go ahead.

As soon as that came out, Jones suddenly decided to change his lawyers in both the Connecticut and Texas cases.  Jones hired Robert Barnes and Norman Pattis.

Here’s Robert Barnes twittering.

You’d think a lawyer would know this stuff.  My son’s law firm is funding these cases in Texas because sometimes you just have to do the right thing.  And Jones got kicked off media outlets because it’s pretty clear that Jones is going to get somebody killed.  There’s no conspiracy, there is only justice.

Then there’s Norman Pattis, who has been a boon to the tin foil hat industry.  Best I can tell, this guy is all smoke and no barbecue.  He blogs earlier this year …

The Connecticut NAACP condemned me today for re-posting a photo of a group of beer cans wearing hoods and surrounding a brown beer bottle on Facebook. Ku Klux Coors, I called it. It was sent to me by someone who could not believe that Facebook censored it as violative of the site’s community standards.

He claims to be the victim of censorship.  He hasn’t learned that the right of free speech does not include the right to be taken seriously.  And he writes his own press releases calling himself “a leading American trial lawyer.”  After looking through all his press releases, I have decided that he’s ten pounds of vanity in five pound sack.

Back to the Huffington Post.

“It remains to be seen whether this sudden change in counsel is a desperate gambit or whether it’s a sign that Mr. Jones is ready to take this lawsuit seriously,” Bankston told HuffPost in a statement. “But regardless of who ultimately represents InfoWars, my clients remain focused on holding Mr. Jones accountable for his reckless and disgusting conduct.”

So the bottom line is that I dunno if Mark is taking a deposition of Jones this morning or packing up his Jeep and heading back to Houston.  I’ll let you know as soon as I know.

He’s also scheduled to take a deposition of one of Jones’ business partners tomorrow.

UPDATE- deposition is next week. Today was a hearing and Mark won.

  1. Can I have Mark’s autograph?

  2. Jane & PKM says:

Twenty young children and six adults staff members were killed at Sandy Hook. They’re dead and their family and friends are suffering. But Alex and his lawyers would have us believe he is the victim? May Mark and his law firm do the metaphorical legal equivalent of running them over with his Jeep, then backing over them the necessary number of times to slap the st00pid out of their mouths and every last dime from their bank accounts.

I beg to differ. Mr. Pattis is ten pounds of vanity in a #5 lunch sack.

  8. Depositions, like sh!t, happen.

Maybe if you don’t want to have your di!ck knocked into the dirt, legally speaking, you shouldn’t say and do stupid, thoughtless, mean things. Oh and preach about “strict liability” and “taking responsibility” when referring to others, as opposed to yourownself. Karma, like Gravity, is a heartless bitch.

  9. Susan on the Left Coast says:

A newly anointed young lawyer in our metropolis that was performing Process Service while waiting for his bar results…violently attacked a woman and 5-year old child that refused to let him in the bldg (he was at wrong address).

He had this idea that process servers had the same rights as bounty hunters like in movies…collateral damage to others is a bonus tacked on top of service fee.

That creative fellow…had his criminal trial postponed for years and years by firing his attorney days before each of the scheduled trial dates. The court would give him time to hire new lawyer who needed at least 8-months to become familiar with the file. Wash, rinse & repeat..that went on for six years.

While he was luxuriating in all that free time…he sued the victim, her landlord and the witnesses who had to pay for atty’s to defend them against him…and he sued the police….all in the hopes they would pressure the victim to not testify at criminal court. She persisted. He was never allowed to practice law…some thingy about moral turpitude and…using illegal chemical weapon on a woman a child that he brought from Israel in with his school books. She is permanently disabled and insists ‘there’s no such thing as effing closure’

  10. Blessings upon your head for raising such a fine man…..apples don’t fall far from the trees.

It was worse then that the brown beear bottle was hanging by a string around its neck.
    Yeah not racist at all.

It looks like Mr. Barnes was at least able to get into a public library. You don’t even need a card just to get in and take a picture.

  15. You must be a proud mama, Ms. JJ!

Wishing you lots more winning days, Mark! Jones deserves the full weight of the law dumped on him. And the families some measure of closure and justice. Never made whole but at least to be able to live without further harassment and some measure of peace.
