Just One of Them Miracle Things
Y’all, a miracle has happened for Rick Perry. It must have been all that praying he’s been doing.
Perry hasn’t been real successful raising money to be President. He’s only got about $1.07 million which puts him in the bottom puddle of Republican presidential candidates.
But then there was this miracle in the form of his Super-PAC. Holy stash! That sucker has been tampered with in the form of $16.8 million dollars. And the biggest miracle maker is also Rick Perry’s employer – mega rich Texas oilman even by Texas oilman standards – Energy Transfer Partners’ CEO Kelcy Warren. Most folks figure he’s worth at least $6 billion with a b.
Warren also picked Perry to sit on the board of his company so Perry can draw a paycheck while running for President.
But, there’s more to this miracle.
In addition to ponying up the most money for the super PAC’s, Warren is working for the official campaign as its finance chairman.
You know how Super PACs and official campaigns aren’t supposed to organize or even discuss what each other is doing? Well, who else but Rick Perry would be blessed with a rich man who isn’t speaking to himself! I’m telling ya – it’s a damn miracle!

I want to be there to see the look on Kelcy Warren’s face when he realizes that he flushed $16.8 million dollars down the Rick Perry toilet. That’s gotta hurt, even for a rich guy.
1If he hasn’t figured out that he’s throwing money down the toilet…it’s kind of reverse of that old question, “If you’re so damned smart, why aren’t you rich?”
2I would ask, AKLynne, “if you are so rich, why aren’t you backing the real winner, like Donald Trump?” I guess he has some in reserve for then the PAC police start sniffing around.
3If you’re a Dem, and I am, you gotta be wetting your Depends dreaming about a 2016 election with DT Rump v. Bernie or Hilary.
4You might want to let them know where a bunch of PVC sewer pipe can be had for a prayer!! With so much BS going down the tubes there in Texas, they might be needing some of that stuff!!
5Last I heard, the FEC was seriously understaffed because Congress wouldn’t approve any nominees. Now I wonder why they’d do that? Surely they want elections to be monitored for irregularities….
One reason Bernie Sanders is getting so much support is that people are sick and tired of rich buggers, or people funded by even richer buggers, being the only ones who can afford to run for president.

It’s not so much that the FEC is underfunded, thorit probably is. It’s that they’re split 3-3 Dem-GOP. And therefore in perpetual deadlock, and incapable of getting anything accomplished.
Because that’s how government works now – or not.
