Solidarity folks and equality of all!

Jane and I have given thought that we should renew our vows in support of our friends, when they marry. Plus, imagine wing nut heads spinning, when it’s explained to them they are no longer married. 😉

Yes-sirree, if you don’t have gay or lesbian friends to both invite you to their weddings and do you the honor of renewing your vows after their ceremony, then you just are not married.

😀 It’s the law now! amirite? At least it’s the law as a wing nut once explained it to me. To be honest, I wasn’t listening too closely. But the gist I got was that teh gay marriage would destroy our Xtian marriages. As a lapsed Jew, I wasn’t quite sure what whitey wingnut was trying to tell me.

Legally? According to most writ twits, I am not “unmarried,” until I hand over at least 50% of our property to Jane. “Writ twits” – two good reasons to stay married. 😉

Well, Juanita Jean, on the day of the ruling there will be lots of parties (If Ruth Bader Ginsburg has her way, that is.)

Just google gay and married and you’ll find lots of celebrations. Sorta like having the reception BEFORE the wedding.

And then people have to seriously get married. That’s what http://www.GetMarriedTexas.org is all about. A hassle free way to get hitched all planned out. Come to Austin on the 4th of July and get married.

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Independence Day that to lose your independence by getting gay married.

Glen Maxey, for a gay guy you sound suspiciously like most straight guys with “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Independence Day that to lose your independence by getting gay married.” ROFL … until the ladies show up with some version of ‘guys will be guys’ and bury us in their hilarity.

Seriously, Glen, a sincere Congratulations for a long, and well fought battle on behalf of equality. It sure will feel better to be an American, when equality takes us to a place that the US Constitution has always meant us to be.

Do we think the decision is coming down today, seriously? I have a bet that it’ll be tomorrow. I mean, I’m asking for a friend.

No decision today. And none scheduled on Fridays.

So it’s gonna be Monday, or next Thursday or the next Monday. But then, they can add another “decision” day if they want to do it some other day. But they gotta do it my June 30.

    Is that clear?

Thinking ahead, if the SCOTUS decides for same-sex marriage, it would be nice if they had a church to be married in. I suggest that TWMDBS start one. You can call it The Church of the Holy Rollers. How’s that?

I can’t wait to hear about all the celebrations all over the country. It will be better than the 4th of July!

Dancing in the streets! It will be great! June is just a great month for emancipations!

My money is on the decision being announced at the last possible moment before the justices fold their tents for the summer. Whichever way it goes, there will be shrieks of protest from one group or another, so it’ll be time to have the ponies all saddled up to gallop right out of town.
