Just Another Excuse To Not Donate Money

Well, if this don’t beat all.

Trinity Christian Schools in Lubbock, Texas,  has up and decided  they will no longer be supporting Lubbock’s Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Because of Komen’s affiliation with Planned Parenthood, the school backed out and kept their money.  They claim it’s because they believe in the sanctity of life.

The truth is: 95% of the money raised in Lubbock stays in Lubbock for the Komen Foundation.  The other 5% goes to the national Komen Foundation for research grants.  Planned Parenthood does not apply for those grants.  No money raised in Lubbock goes to Planned Parenthood or abortion.

I do not buy this “sanctity of life” crapola for one damn minute.  How ’bout the lives of women with breast cancer?  How ’bout the Komen Foundation helping to discover breast cancer early to save women — mothers, sisters, aunts, wives, cousins?  Clearly, to the Super DeLux Brand Christians, they are not life.  They’re just women and, you know, women are a dime a dozen.

They should be required to change the term “sanctity of life” to “sanctimony of life,” because if it was prostate cancer they wouldn’t care if Happy Hal’s How To Eat Your Teenager Clinic was supporting it, that would be fine.

It’s just another excuse to hoard their money, demonize Planned Parenthood, and demonstrate that women’s lives are not of much value.

If the spirit moves you, here’s the website of Trinity So-Called Christian School.  Here’s their Facebook page.  And here’s their contact page.  Play nice.
