Just A Little Something Weird

November 28, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, needless to say, I did not get a White House Christmas Card this year.  And from the looks of the way the place is decorated for Christmas (I haven’t seen anything that white since the last Jimmy Buffet concert), I’m kinda glad I didn’t.

Here’s the weird part.  Either Donald and Melania have merged their handwriting or he just signed for both of them.

Close up.  In gold, of course.

Weird, right?

More weird —

I miss Michelle.

11 y/o Barron Drumpf’s penmanship is that poor? Methinks someone entirely not of the Drumpf clan signed everyone’s name.

  2. Obviously The Donald signed his wfe’s nsme. Did she refuse? This is totally nuts. Barron probably signed his name.

  5. I am not being disrespectful or mean to their young son when I ask this, but I guess they don’t teach kids cursive writing anymore?

  6. That photo would be a good ad for a ghost story.

My theory that Melania signed the top two signatures, and Donald signed in place of Barron.

  8. Marthe Lancheres says:

It’s evident that the idiot has forged his wife’s signature on their Christmas card thinking that no one would notice. Same earthquake-graph style, same oversized triangles and same straight lines extending above and below the signatures.

Maybe Melania was not available because she was trying to escape her nightmare in the White House (see picture of Melania dressed in a white cassock trying to find her way out of the ghostly forest).

Anybody here know how to analyze handwriting? The missing cross bar of the “T” must mean something, aside from the “earthquake graph style” (love it!).

    9
  10. @Papa: Actually, they don’t teach cursive anymore. Not really. They spend more time teaching typing. The only time my (teenaged/YA) kids write in cursive is to sign their names, which is archaic as identity verification anyway.

My grandmother the elementary school teacher is no doubt spinning in her grave. Penmanship was very important to her. It’s just not needed anymore.

  11. Jere Armen says:

And what’s with the grade-school signature of Barron’s? The boy is 11 years old! I’m betting that isn’t HIS signature either. Huckabee Sanders’? Hope Hicks’? Kellyanne’s?

    12
  12. Sharon Greiff says:

OK I googled that and experts are saying that is her signature but it was not always so.

  13. My 8 year old niece signs her name in cursive, so Barron must have been able to do it too. Traitor Trump signed all those signatures and pretended to print Barron’s. Trump is guilty of forgery, among other high crimes and misdemeanors. Dump Trump. The sooner the better. Senator Warren should refer to him as Chief Shitting Bull.

    14
  14. His handwriting, all sharp, pointed spears looks like that of a serial killer to me. It just shouts “I’m angry angry angry and I want to cause pain.”

    15
  15. Can we leave the kid alone? He has to live with Trump; that’s way too much to ask of any child. The previous results are sort of sad.
Does Melania’s dress remind anyone else of the White Witch of Narnia? Though Tilda Swinton had better hair and accoutrements …

    16
  16. At least Barron’s signature is legible…

    17
  17. Yeah, lay off the kid, it’s not his fault.

But those who aren’t learning cursive will not be able to read the message of that card, and soon they will be most of us. Scary thought.

I turned from cursive to printing when it got harder to read my own writing, but a printed signature was often not accepted, so I just had to scrawl it. Now I’m lucky if I can read my own printing.

  18. That Other Jean says:

Of course Mr. “I am EGO, hear me roar!” signed for both of them. I’m surprised he didn’t sign for Barron, too.

  19. Marthe Lancheres says:

I wasn’t the only one who thought the Christmas decorations looked eerie. Apparently, it’s been her style for several years. Not very cheerful. I understand why…

  20. Marthe Lancheres says:

Sharon Greiff is right. I was mistaken. It is her very own signature. I could have sworn he had forged it, it’s so similar. They were made for each other then and it does not reflect well on her.

  21. Is that a promo shot from The Handmaid’s Tale?

  22. Marge Wood says:

Very sad. Beautiful but sad. Does she have any friends to go have coffee with?

    23
  23. I received Christmas cards from the Obama’s and they were happy and beautiful. The card from traitor trump is cold, trite and common. Typical traitor trump. Glitz, cheap glitz.

    24
  24. Was that monastic robe designed by Ivanka? Is there an accompanying headpiece / veil? That woman has strange tastes, and here it looks like something from some creepy futuristic film.

    25
  25. Or a Doctor Who episode you know is not going to end well (not that many do).

    26
  26. I don’t like the decor or the sleeves on her dress but supposedly one of the children she visited with said she looked like an angel. So for Christmas I guess I’ll draw in my snark. But I miss the Obamas so much.

    27
  27. Hmmm. that shot down the hallway, all mystical and lonely. Tells me something.

    28
  28. Yes, I agree that we should leave Barron out of this. For all we know, the kid could have a learning disability or even be on the autism spectrum. As for my own handwriting, at age 70, I’ve taken to printing more since my cursive has gone downhill, mainly from disuse.

Every time I see Barron, I feel a twinge of sadness for him. Donald had no interest in the raising of his other children and it’s pretty apparent he isn’t a hands-on dad with this one.

Every time I see Trump and Melania and Barron walking toward Airforce One, or anywhere, Trump is surging ahead and leaving his wife and kid behind. Obama always walked with his arms around his family in a loving way. Yes, I miss them all too. *sigh*

    29
  29. lobstershift says:

Yes, “leave the children out of it,” but the Trumps were the ones who decided to have Barron write his name on the card.
It’s been pretty much assumed that the child is on the autism spectrum and is going to special schools. I wish they had been available for my son twenty years ago! Cursive writing is out for several reasons, but it is troublesome to see an eleven-year-old print in such a way that he can’t write on a straight line. He’s several years’ developmentally behind.
The Trump parents didn’t have to put that on display — they could have simply said “From the Trump family” or some such.
My heart goes out to a child who needs special attention and the only shield he has protecting him from his angry and egotistical father is his mother, who may not always be able to protect him. It’s very sad.
