  1. To be as respectful of any of these anti-vaxxer’s freedumbs as possible may this particular maskhole have a hot salsa send-off to accompany her “bad fajita” covid moments.

Remind me again as to why hospital administrators are sacrificing their personnel physically and emotionally to the selfish arrogance of these maskholes? When did triage before the emergency room door stop being a thing with capitalist medicine? The prudent fix to hospitals overwhelmed by these covidiots would be a triage line for the unvaccinated in a distant parking lot with full quarantine.

    1
  2. I can’t believe aspects of this story…

Yes, I can believe this person is having to eat her words, but refusing to acknowledge it. Yes, I can believe after complaining about how it’s hitting her she’s begging for prayers.

But what quack medical authority actually approved all this treatment: Today, I immediately started a treatment of Azithromyacin and Hydroxychloroquine. I’m also taking the OrthoMune dietary supplement.” She said she’s also received the Regeneron antibody treatment used by ex-President Donald Trump.

I’m surprised that Ivermectin is not on the list.

  3. Steve from Beaverton says:

If she ends up at a hospital that’s only got 1 bed left and 2 sick people needing medical assistance, better not be her getting the bed. She’s part of the reason hospitals are beyond capacity, so she needs to face the consequences.

    3
  4. I agree with “Jane & PKM”
Triage the willfully unvaccinated to somewhere below anyone coming in with a severe case of poison ivy.

    4
  5. Last Sunday, I was discussing the wave of unvaxxed folx getting gravely ill. He had said how he and his wife were saying that karma was having its say. But, then…

He recalled how the fundies in the 1980’s were gleeful at the AIDS epidemic.

I granted his point but have been thinking on it a lot since.

In the 1980’s and before and now, there’s no “gay agenda.” Folx just wanted to be left alone to love who they loved, how they loved.

Now, however, there IS an agenda supported by the anti-vaxxers currently suffering in ICU’s being attended by overworked, underpaid hospital staff. They want ALL of us to take their point of view. They want ALL of us to be evangelicals. They want ALL of us to be Republicans. They want ALL of us to be white. THAT’s how America becomes “great” again.

My friend had a point, and it saddens me when someone dies needlessly. However, I am slightly less sad when someone dies from willful stupidity because of their agenda.

“Dulce et decorum est. . .”

So, you’re treating yourself with all manner of weird unapproved medications, plus Regeneron, and you feel awful. Pity, when you could have avoided all the misery, quite probably, if you had been vaccinated and followed a few precautions. Just don’t try for a hospital bed if you get worse, OK? Other people need them more.

    6
  7. Just die in the parking lot and don’t keep someone with other problems out of the emergency rooms and ICUs. And may God have mercy on your soul.

    7
  8. And mine for being so angry.

    8
  9. She felt like she got hit by a bus?
Guess she discovered reality is big, and heavy. And existed even when she wasn’t looking.

    9
  10. I’m not a doctor, but isn’t azithromycin a prescription antibiotic, you know, for bacteria? What doctor would prescribe an antibiotic for a patient with a confirmed, via testing, viral infection?

    10
  11. My give a s*** factor is zero for these idiots

    11
  12. willwheaten says:

I think Laura is going to have a sad surprise, and her “doctor” too. Warning from drugs.com:

Hydroxychloroquine can cause dangerous effects on your heart, especially if you also use certain other medicines including the antibiotic azithromycin (Z-Pak).

Seems she’s going out of her way to make things worse. Well, not if she has no heart.

    12
  13. Karen in New Mexico says:

Star @#2: “I wanted to get ivermectin but I couldn’t get it. Doctors are really weird about prescribing it, which pisses me off,” she wrote.

Guess she doesn’t know she could send a friend to the feed store to pick up a tube of horse paste. I hear the dose is 1 gram per 100 pounds of body weight once a day. Or she could drink Betadine, the latest cure. I’m waiting for people to start eating Little Friskies cat food mixed with flea powder.

    13
  14. Just another one who needs to be culled from the herd.

    14
  15. Left out of the conversation is another fact. Most of these anti-vaxxer maskholes are Qcumber Nazis aka followers of the ***king moron.** Coined a phrase today in honor of a great Texan, Molly Ivans. Hope she approves.

“Just because they can goosestep, doesn’t mean they can dance.”

    15
  16. There should be a vax/unvax question in the triage equation. The unvaccinated made their choice based on the information they CHOSE to believe.
I’m not saying they deserve to die.
But they sure as HELL don’t deserve resources to keep them alive if it means denying them to folks who care enough about their community to get stuck.
But cretins like loomer who use the tactics of division and demonization for any kind of gain when the situation is as dire as this deserve an intense regimen of heavy doses of veterinary Ivermectin. Hopefully she’ll shit herself to death.
Given how full of malignant shit she is, it might take awhile.

    16
  17. Having said that, what Malarkey said in paragraph 5 should be required reading.
And paragraph 6 reminds me of what I tried to say badly awhile ago.

    17
  18. P.P. @17 to what you and Malarkey have so aptly stated, we’d suggest a serious, seriously a PSA, to the effect of “Get your Fauci Ouchie or damn well expect if we have to pay for your sorry ashes, damn well expect that we the taxpaying public will demand that “OOPS” be inscribed on your unworthy urn as your final words.

Qcumbers, your choice, ouch or oops. Decide soon. Because you have tried our patience beyond your comprehension.

Meanwhile, the GQP/Qcumbers all fiddle while the planet burns.

    19
  20. Can anyone tell me about REGENERON ? My understanding was that it is very expensive and has limited supply? Thanks

    20
  21. So now the Regeneron antibody treatment is in high demand by people who refused to get vaccinated, resulting in drawing health professionals away from hospitals so they can staff the infusion centers. Here’s the story at the New York Times. These people say that the vaccine is “too new and created too fast” when the same can be said for the antibody treatment. And after all that (an hour and a half at an infusion center) they still don’t plan on getting vaccinated. Go figure.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/18/health/covid-antibody-regeneron.html

    21
  22. Buttermilk Sky says:

The process of creating vaccines goes back to the 18th century and Jenner. Regeneron clones antibodies, which sounds like a fairly new procedure. I don’t understand why these scientific illiterates mistrust the one and embrace the other, unless it’s because they were told trump got the Regeneron. As I recall his doctor, an osteopath, was throwing everything he could think of at the orange one.

Ounce of prevention, pound of cure, how does that go again?

    22
  23. Steve from Beaverton says:

These covidiots only look out for #1. Wonder what party they align with? Only caring about themselves is the cornerstone of that party and aligns with all of their agendas.
If there’s a big turnout in DC today, expect it to be a super spreader event.

    23
  24. Steve from Beaverton @22, speaking of the super spreader J6 rally there was a counter protestor with a sign: “If you are American, you’re a member of Antifa — you’re anti-fascist.”

Probably too subtle for the Qcumber insurrectionist brigade to take notice much less comprehend, but spot on as to what Antifa means.

    24
  25. BTW Texas, it’s not “all bad” down there. Ya’ll have State Rep Jasmine Crockett in your lege. 100th district eh? Guessing that is not anywhere near Louie’s district.

    25
  26. The Surly Professor says:

… and somewhat off-topic, but a couple of numbers: the Capital police have estimated about 450-500 protesters have shown up in D.C. today. To get “justice” for 650 insurrectionists who are locked up.

That means they could not even get one protester per prisoner. I remember an old Bob Newhart skit, where he had a clicker and told people it allowed him to see how many were watching him on TV in real-time. The first click and he says “and I’d like to thank the 1.2 million people tuned in.” Then as each click comes the numbers drop until it’s just two viewers. On the last click he says “Mom … don’t tune out …. well, she probably had something important come up”.

At least 150 of the prisoners could not even get their mother to show up for them. I’d like to think maybe one of my brothers, or maybe even my wife, would turn up even if they did not wave a sign.

    26
  27. Jane & PKM, I’m glad you brought up The Honorable Ms.Crockett, because she’s a rock star IMHO.
Funny thing. I’d never heard of her before the Texas Dems broke quorum trying to stop our awesome new voter suppression law.
But I ferdamnsure heard her then.
For awhile at least, she was doing multiple appearances daily on IIRC CNN and MSNBC. And she was fantastic.
Saying the kinda things that normally woulda driven right wing pundits batshit crazy. Saying trying to negotiate with republicans was like trying to negotiate with terrorists?
    Yeah.
But unless I missed it, which is entirely possible, repugnantcans didn’t take the bait.
I mean it was a big fat meatball, right down the middle of the plate.
    Repeatedly.
Personally, I think they recognize her as force to be reckoned with, and didn’t want to give her the slightest platform.
    Hoping she’ll go away.
But I gotta sneakin suspicion she ain’t gonna.

    27
  28. thatotherjean says:

So, Laura is taking Azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine –medications for bacterial infections and malaria, respectively, following her COVID-positive test. As willwheaten points out above, that’s dangerous: those two drugs interact, and can create heart problems. Apparently, Laura’s “own research” didn’t include checking drug interactions. Good luck with that.

Where did she get antibiotics and malaria medication without a prescription? The doctor who prescribed them for her, if one did, should be in trouble with his state’s medical board.

    28
  29. Steve from Beaverton says:

Just a bit of medicine usage education- hydroxychloroquine is also used in conjunction with rheumatoid arthritis drugs to enhance effectiveness in suppressing the immune system. It’s use would seem to be contrary to fighting covid. One also needs to be careful because it can cause stomach issues.
Believe me, I wish I didn’t have to use it which is why (Doctor’s order) I just got my 3rd dose of Moderna vaccine.

    29
  30. P.P. @26 You had us ROFL with “Personally, I think they recognize her as force to be reckoned with, and didn’t want to give her the slightest platform.” Qcumber conservatives are not that smart. They were probably standing at the plate expecting a high inside fastball. Ergo totally not seeing the middle pitch. Halfway decent metaphor for the futility of negotiating with those conservative hacks – there is no middle ground with them.

But TX 100th? She is every bit as sharp as some of the best of the best in the US Congress. She could teach a law seminar to VP Harris, Congresswoman Katie Porter, or Senator Liz Warren. She’s Bankston lawyer kind of sharp.

    30
  31. Jane & PKM, I couldn’t agree more with y’all about Ms. Crockett. And about the mentality of whatever passes for the average Qcumber.
Especially the ones who normally make the most noise.
    But that’s kinda my point.
Just cursory google searches don’t turn up much in the way of the kinda reaction I would’ve expected.
And even though this joint is the closest to social media I interact with, I would’ve expected to see tweets, etc. turn up. Generating more outrage and then more tweets.
    Lather, rinse, repeat.
The fact that it apparently didn’t happen feeds into my belief that the whole deep state conspiracy is just more right wing projection of their own crap.
The “Deep State” controls mainstream media?
    Right.
But who the HELL could tamp down the outrage that The Honorable Ms. Crockett served up on a silver platter?
The term herding cats comes to mind.
Whoever the hell they are, they’re the ones that didn’t swing.
And kept the attention off Ms. Crockett.
But, as always, that’s just my opinion and I’m just as full of shit as anybody else.

    31
  32. For those wondering what kind of doctor would prescribe an antibiotic for covid, I can answer that: my sister-in-law in Florida (I know, right?) got the covid recently—unvaccinated of course—and she told me she got the monoclonal antibodies, so that was good. But then she said she ALSO got an antibiotic AS WELL AS Ivermectin. I may or may not have shouted over the phone, “that’s malpractice!” To which she said, “well, it worked” meaning the ivermectin. So at least one doctor in Panama City, FL is an absolute quack.

    32
  33. thatotherjean says:

    @Steve from Beaverton #29

I had forgotten about the use of hydroxychloroquine in rheumatoid arthritis treatment. It suppresses the immune system? That seems like the last thing you would want in a COVID treatment. Laura Loomer is in big trouble if any of her off-the-wall treatment goes wrong.

    33
  34. charles r phillips says:

I think this explains the issues here rather nicely…

    34
  35. Steve from Beaverton says:

In case anyone cares, I did a bit more research on how hydroxychloroquine interacts with one’s immune system (since I take). Short story is it helps block autoantibodies produced by the immune system. Autoantibodies can attack a persons tissues in some people as with rheumatoid arthritis.
Autoantibodies have also been found to make fighting covid more difficult in some people which is why the drug was probably identified for use with covid. However, research shows it is not effective to prevent or fight covid. It can also be very dangerous in people with underlying health issues like heart problems. It also interacts negatively with some common medications and can cause eye damage.
Unlike covid vaccines, hydroxychloroquine can’t prevent or treat covid, but you can’t convince covidiots like laura loomer.
