Juanita is often severely amused by the Republican Party of Fort Bend County.

“They just sent a mailout announcing they are throwing in the towel on this election season,” she grins. “Even though they have a mess of local fluffy white boys who need re-electing to the public dole this November, they have set their sites on ….. January 28, 2011.  That’s almost three full months AFTER the November election.”

This arrived in the mail yesterday —-

“And, as if having Bush’s Brain for a fundraiser three months after an election isn’t exciting enough for you, there’s their website, where as of today, the most recent upcoming event is May 17th.  Here’s a screenshot of their website on July 4th.”

“Look, I’m not say they’ve given up, but it sure looks like they’re spending a lot of money on the past and the far, far, holy cow that’s damn over yonder far off future,” she ponders.

Verdelia butts in, “And this is the former ground moving political machine that Tom DeLay built?  Well, you know what they say – the taller they are the bigger splat they make when they fall.”

“Honey, the engine’s running but no one’s at the wheel,” Juanita replies.
