Remember when I told you about super pastor Robert Jeffress?

Well, John turned a thousand words into a picture.

  1. JJ, you solved a mystery for me. I’ve been trying to think of whom Jeffress reminds me., Jeffress not only looks like Jordan, he sounds like him too. However, I’d bet that Jordan is a much nicer person.

Good demonstration of the influences of environment on a child. The twin on the left, Robert has crazy eyes, while Leslie has kind eyes.

Yet, both twins born of the same mother and by the same father, raised in different environments, are both homosexual. That should lay to rest that ‘choice’ thingy meme. OK Being a little facetious with these two “twins,” but legitimate separated at birth twin studies have proven the point.

Maybe we’ve been a little unkind to the gohmerts. Perhaps they are not latent homosexuals, but confused bisexuals. Ergo they keep gohmerting ‘choice.’ But that begs the question; when did they opt for both sides of the plate?

John’s graphics make every argument much clearer. Thanks for the use of your talents.

And Leslie’s hair is much more natural-looking than Bobby’s really bad comb-over. Actually, the more I look at Bobby’s head, the more the central section of his hair looks like a rug, rather than a comb-over. You don’t mean … gasp! … that this self-described man of God doesn’t accept the hair God gave him? Tsk, tsk.

Sometimes I’ll be a contrarian, and this is one of them. I’m becoming concerned that we’re falling into a pattern of ridiculing the Jeffresses and Lindsey Grahams for effeminate behavior – and – by imputation – making light of gays whether they are out or in the closet. But maybe I have it wrong, so I’d appreciate any thoughts on this. I just don’t want to see criticism about individuals slide into something else.

Good point, UmptyDump, I’ll sign on with a promise to be much clearer about in the closet gohmert throwing Republicans. It is, as you point out, their projected self loathing that needs to be the focus of my attention. Thank you.

  7. This is funny because someone recently pointed out to me how much Leslie Jordan looks like Ron Paul. http://cheezburger.com/5540058368

So I guess this makes them triplets…

Uhhh . . . no. Way too much of a stretch.

  9. OK, umpty-dump! Got the message! Lindsey Graham comes off more like someone who has had a wee bit too much of bourbon and southern branch water for breakfast, lunch, dinner and that important fourth meal the diet companies furnish, the snack. He is permanently mellowed. And simply not firing on all cylinders, even physically. His lethargy is what prompts me to picture him at home, sharing his southern branch water with the flowers. Question is: has anyone ever, I mean ever, seen this man truly excited, as in spit drippin’ excited?

I’m with PKM on this, their stereotypical behavior is not the point of the ridicule – it’s their self loathing, homophobic rants, and the massive harm that they have done to their sisters and brothers while being firmly planted in their sequin-lined Chenille closets that justifies any and all ridicule. And As for Dear Leslie Jordan, you think “Will and Grace was good?”Google “Sordid Lives” both the movie and the series, He was Spectacular!!

Jeffress has definitely done something to the mass on his head. It could be real hair sprayed into a mass of plastic, or it could be a wig. Either way, not attractive. But after all, who demands attractiveness (do not answer that…do not answer that…) Jeffress is on my Great White Elephant list not because of his hair, or his appearance at all, but because of his narrow, vicious view of the rest of humanity.

Actually I’m conflicted on this. I guess my real issue is with hypocrites of all stripes. They might be gay-bashing preachers and politicians who prey on same-sex victims whom they have under some form of control. Or priests who flout their vows of chastity and sexually abuse children. Or the self-righteous who wrap their religious beliefs in exclusionary behavior and hate. The bullies of this world like the Rush Limbaughs and Richie Incognitos.

How do we ridicule the hypocrites’ behaviors that they themselves decry, without offending those individuals who come by the same behaviors forthrightly, legally and without pretense or harm to others?

    It’s complicated.
