Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
After his Mussolini quote he has no credibility left.
1Man I wish Beto would run against the albino idiot
2Mike, that’s not fair. Cornyn has uttered innumerable statements that destroyed his credibility long before the Mussolini quote.
3In a sane world, or at least one with an educated electorate, the GOP would be dead as a political party. And, of course, IQ45 would never have gathered enough votes to remotely sneak past the Electoral College.
Beto has said he isn’t running. Julian Castro says his brother Joaquin is considering a Senate run. Someone please step up and defeat Cornyn. The rest of the world is still curious as to how Cruz held his seat.
4Yes, John, it was the Democrats who brought the Hastert Rule down on the House.
5It’s possible that MJ Hegar (fmr USAF Major/pilot) is considering running against craptastic Cornyn. She ran for the House in 2018 and did quite well in a highly red district, losing by a relatively small margin.
6IMO, she would be the best Democratic candidate (among the so far visible ones) against Cornyn, absent Beto. Hegar is a great campaigner and is more than qualified to hold this office.
I think the dead carcass of bipartisanship under the Speaker’s podium was left behind by Paul Ryan. Or was it Jonn Boehner? Newt Gingrich?
7Rick @7, combining your theory of which Con House Speaker killed bi-partisanship with my theory of the Cons jumped into obstructionism after Nixon’s impeachment, did some checking. Nixon era House Speakers were both “D.” But interestingly the Senate Majority leader was one Bob Dole. Cons becoming worse and more overt with their IOKIYAR crap is probably more along the boiling frog theory and has been there from the beginning and accelerating since the New Deal.
8Wah, wah! Sob! Screech! They do’t play fair! Snivel!!
Not impressed, Cornyn!
9I don’t have facts and figures to back it up, but my feeling is that bipartisanship and Congress generally started going to hell when the Moral Majority and Newt Gingrich and crew took over during Reagan’s era, starting in the early 1980s. Once the GOP was declared to be God’s party, that meant that their opponents had to be Satan’s party by definition, and there certainly shouldn’t be any compromising with Satan, nosiree! That’s also the period when abortion suddenly became the #1 issue of a substantial bloc of the GOP, and again the Dems were Satan. More and more of this drove the Republican party further and further to the right until the Dems didn’t want to compromise with them either.

11Question is will it be possible to neuter and or totally sideline thuglicrats such as cuellar from promoting thuglican opponent by endorsing fundraising effort of thuglican candidate running against MJ like cuellar did in the past election cycle.
