It’s Gonna Get Ugly
If you live in Texas, today is the first day of early voting. Â And if you live around Fredericksburg, this is what will greet you on your way to the polls.
And by “offended” they mean nuclear holocaust and the total destruction of the First Amendment.
Unless you have a local candidate who has specifically come out against Trump, Vote a straight Democratic ticket.
Thanks to Vickie for the heads up.
Not that there is likely anymore room for “nails in this coffin” but
1isn’t the Trump University fraud trial supposed to hit any minute? A person can lose track of the frauds of this fraud there are so many.
As usual, they got it backwards.
2I intent to vote for every Democrat on the ballot. But I don’t plan to check the straight ticket box because it will give me too much pleasure to blacken the box next to Hillary and spit (if figuratively) on the empty white box next to Trump.
3So I voted today in my home county. (I’m ashamed to utter the name of the state.)
So to be able to proudly say I definitely voted for Secy Clinton I went to that race first and checkd her square. Then I returned to the top of the ballot were it asks if I’d prefer to vote a straight ticket. For the first time in my old life I voted straight Dem. In the one race without a Dem I voted for the Green. I wish there was a “Any one but a nacilbupeR” button but there wasn’t.
I told my little bride later. She surprised me by saying “Yep. He77 with the snacilbupeR.”
4Stupidity knows no bounds.
5That sign makes no sense, but then nutjobs aren’t known for their logic. If nothing else, Hillary will save us not just the deplorables, but a world of stupid.
6Not surprising for Kerrville. The worst town for Trump support in our area is New Braunfels. I had a good friend there who was having dinner in Cactus Jacks, a restaurant/bar, who was accosted by a fellow diner who overheard his conversation about Hillary. The bartender told him that mentioning Hillary was dangerous.
7This really bothers me; that one opponent’s adherents think it is OK to threaten/intimidate the opposing candidate.
This isn’t the America I grew up in. Shame on those who have made it so bad.
8Haters gotta hate
9I’ve got a meeting in a few minutes but after that I’m going to go and vote – I can’t wait to see if there is a Trump supporter outside the venue so I can tell them that I would have to be deaf, dumb and blind to vote for their candidate. Will give you an update later today
YEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAA! (says the Jewish girl from New York who is now in Houston)
10One dumb ass banner! Says a lot for whoever made it.
11As far as the hanging sign goes, choice is what you have with crooked HRC and Dems. With Drumpf and the tea baggers you don’t get any choice but to accept a dictatorshit. (sorry Mama)
12MD’s early voting doesn’t start until later this week– can’t wait to get it over with. Anybody know why Election Day isn’t Tuesday Nov 1?
13😀 What a weekend! What an election. It’s apparent that “conventional wisdom” has no connection to “common sense,” if one wasted more than two minutes listening to the chattering class of pundits.
Take the journalists who are defending their gift of $billions of free service to Donnie. Hear their yips as he turned on them. While they criticize the snacilbupeR politicians fleeing Donnie at the last minute, they attempt to applaud their own recent ‘recognition’ that Donnie is an irresponsible clown.
ROFL 30 years of criticizing Hilz. A recent solid 15 months of whining Hilz doesn’t talk to them. Then these ‘journalists’ are now busy floating the hijacked and probably altered Russian Pravda (or Prada as $carah would say) e-mail gambit that the media is in the bag for Hilz.
That’s a tough sell, even in the dumbest sectors of the USA, where “all Donnie, all the time air” covers his events minute for minute, then gives his cast of surrogates extra air time to explain what Donnie really meant to say.
Take Corey Lewdandlowsky; paid by Donnie and by CNN. Ach, the irony of a ‘liberal’ media bias.
14Rhea, for some reason the election has to pay homage to a Monday of all days. The election is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Maybe they wanted Barbers to rest up before voting the next day.

@ Rhea seriously.
16@Rhea
17According to Federal Election Commission page, Congress in 1845 specified first Tuesday after the first Monday of the Novembern. They didn’t want general election to fall on a Monday because back then rural citizens would have travel on the Sabbath to vote.
Rhea, not that I would be cynical in estimating the st00pid of the snacilbupeR, but the transition from Oct 31 to Nov 1 comes as a surprise to them every year. Much as sunrise and sunset surprise them daily. Anyway somewhere in the ‘wisdom’ of Bilgo’s “the tides come in, go out and no one knows why” lies the answer. Give them an extra week to catch their tails; or as Donnie prophesied, let them vote Nov 28th.
18Oh and because the first Tuesday could be November 1st, which would be All Saint’s, which was observed by Catholics. Also merchants typically did their accounts on the first day of the month and they would be pressed to vote and do their accounts.
19I love Google!
Oh, Jebus! I live in Fredericksburg. There’s a guy in town who’s had large signs on his property ever since Obama was elected. For the last presidential election he had one that said “Better a Mormon than a muslim.” Now he has one that says “Trump–White House, Hillary–prison, Bernie–nuthouse.” I have to say, though, there are far fewer Trump signs this time out than there were Romney ones the last go ’round.
20Just got back from early voting and the line was out the door. I’m in ultra red Collin County Texas and it gave me great pleasure to vote for our first female president.
21I am voting for Hillary because she won’t leave you for dead. Yes the ambiguity is intended, if way over the head of the target.
22Filled out my ballot … straight Dem … then headed over to the County offices and dropped it in the box and grabbed one of the “I Voted Today” stickers!!
23Now we wait!!
CDS, Clinton Derangement Syndrome, worse than a case of advanced, acute rabies, CJS/BSE, or anthrax.
There is no treatment or cure for CDS (or ODS), none, zip, nada. Countless hours of research and ‘treatment’ have only resulted in all CDS patient’s condition worsening.
Case pathology similar to the prion vector induced brain tissue wasting diseases.
A grievous, irremediable and highly contagious condition.
Would suggest the same case remediation for the CDS afflicted as for terminal rabies, but that’s not nice.
24The fraudulent banner of a fraudulent voter.
25I voted along with my 600 “illegal” amigos.
26ODIOUS (Obammer derangement syndrome) CDS. There was no cure for ODIOUS and there ain’t one for CDS.
27Rick,
Sad fact is those Repukes get out and vote at close to a 100% rate (and in some places, more than 100%, hmmmm…).
Democrats, and “should be Dem’s, hint-hint-Hispanics”, actually vote at far lower rates. Check out the TX SoS elections website.
Maybe this time will be different.
Back in the 2000&2004 elections, when my rural TX polling place was actually a creaky 20×30 portable ranch shed, with paper ballots, the R’s were even trucking in every doddering geezer they could find in the hinterlands.
28Voted this morning. Checked all the Dems by hand and, once again, really hate the voting machines used here in Texas. I wants my paper trail.
29So where I go seems to be largely Hispanic and the only republican sign I saw was to reelect Sheriff Hicks. Not one presidential sign which I thought – well dang that means either everyone will vote for Hillary or no one will vote for the Orange baboon.
My vote is in and although I did vote straight democratic I voted for each position one at a time.
– Sharon
30Thanks for all the info on voting day, though I think the day after Halloween would be particularly appropriate this year.
Somebody should TP Trump.
31Voted in First Colony in Sugar Land this morning. Lots of people in line, of various hues and hardly any official signs outside the polling area other than a few local candidates. Not a single presidential sign anywhere to be seen. Same thing in my nearby neighborhood which is normally bristling with signs. Also hardly any Halloween decorations for that matter.; very unusual. Maybe too much scary real life for people to handle??!!
32‘Fraid I don’t live in a state with early voting. Can’t wait to vote for Hillary!
33Big holes in the banner. Bigger holes in the sign’s message. Both there to let the hot air pass through I assume.
34I never vote straight ticket. I never vote for Repubs either! But sometimes a DINO sneaks on the ballot, like that LaRouchie that was running as a Dem here a while ago. I am also persuaded that the Libertarian running for Railroad Commission this year is more qualified than the Dem.
Plus, I like to individually check each “D”! Word is in my neighborhood (Fort Bend) that the lines are super long today. There’s also a fake voter fraud thing on the neighborhood FB page, claiming that somebody voted straight ticket R, but the box for Pres wasn’t checked. Yeah, sure.
35Blue Meadow. There were two Hillary yard signs placed there last night. I know that for a fact because Bubba bought and paid for 2 signs for each early voting location, and drove to Austin to pick them up himself. I’m hoping they weren’t stolen by a Trump supporter because that would be a crime, you know.
36Tell Bubba to keep those signs out of the easement. An old grump like me gets them in Nw Harris county. I have been known to take all signs in the easement at the early voting place on Stubner Airline. Not to worry. They were all Republican.
37It is against state law to put any sign in the easement. Really fine print at the bottom of the sign. The deputies from the constable’s office who were there passing out flyers were snatching them up and moving them as fast as they could..
I can see where the landowner is/has/was offended by Drumpf. What I don’t see is how they could possibly know what it feels like to be left for dead. They might like it. Sheesh.
Left for dead was Amerika after the dumbass dubya administration.
38Speaking about left for dead- Drumpf’s pie hole said the porn star that accused him of unwanted advances has probably been groped before. I guess that makes Drumpf innocent.
39The Mangled Apricot Hellbeast will leave him, and everyone else, for dead on Nov 9.
40EPO – wow, if you extend Trump’s logic just a little, I guess that it’s okay to have non-consensual sex with any woman who isn’t still a virgin. Sick.
41Lunargent-did you catch what he had to say about Lindsay Lohan when she turned 18?
Donald Trump said in a 2004 interview with Howard Stern about Lindsay Lohan that “deeply troubled” women are “always the best in bed,”
She was deeply troubled alright.
Debbo- we got mobs for the MAHB. They’re all going done in less than three weeks.
42ps Rust Limpaw had a real problem with consent.

43I live in Fredericksburg, I didn’t see those signs at all. oh, oopsie! wrong state, thank god.
for a state that committed treason in defense of slavery not once, but twice, there are a lot of slow learners down there.
44cpinva, you said: “for a state that committed treason in defense of slavery not once, but twice”.
45A case for three times can be made.
You’re thinking of TX joining the Confederacy for the 1861 Civil War. And also the earlier 1836 Texian secession-revolution to break away from Mexico, resulting in the slave-holding, independent nation of Texas which lasted ~10 years until joining the USA.
There was another, little-known or remembered unsuccessful attempt to break away from Spain by the revolutionary, nascent nation of Mexico in 1813. This revolution was particularly bloody.
It can be argued that some of the Texan Anglo’s motivation in this Mexican revolution was is furtherance of slaveholding. In this period all Anglos living in Texas were technically Spanish citizens. After Mexico became independent they became Mexicans. Slavery was illegal in both Spanish and Mexican Texas, but they took a long view in hope of re.
Part of the revolution’s Texas portion is called the Gutiérrez–Magee (& Kemper, Perry) Expedition.

There was another, little-known or remembered, mostly unsuccessful Texas attempt to break away from New Spain during the revolution of the nascent nation of Mexico, in 1813. This revolution was particularly bloody, and lasted more than 11 years before succeeding in 1821.
It can be argued that some of the Texan Anglo’s motivation in this Mexican revolution was is furtherance of slaveholding.
In this period all Anglos living in Texas were technically Spanish citizens or aliens. After Mexico became independent they became Mexicans.
Slavery was illegal in both Spanish and Mexican Texas, but they took a long view in hope of institutionalizing it here.
In the distant province of Texas, slave holding was somewhat tolerated even then, little could be done about it.
The whole thing is extremely complicated.
Part of the first major Mexican revolution’s Texas portion is called the Gutiérrez–Magee (& Kemper, Perry) Expedition.
The actions that took place with it are the bloodiest to ever occur on Texas soil.
Two battles of this expedition occurred close to my place.
The first resulted in about 1300 dead (mostly massacred Spanish troops). And then almost all the Texans (Mexicans, Anglos, Indians, etc), aprx 1400, were slaughtered at the Battle of Medina (about 15 miles from me); effectively ending the Texas part of the Mexican revolution.
Most of the surviving revolutionaries, and also most other Anglos, fled Texas, not to return until Austin and others established new Anglo colonies in Mexican Texas.
A major Camino Real used throughout all of Texas’ history passes over part of my land. Figures from the earliest days of New Spain, to the battles of the Alamo and beyond, rode under some of my hundreds of years old oak trees.

I wish I could repost the article in yesterday’s Daily Kos … (Can’t find it now) … Some Austin candidates wife did the saddest, limp, ad for her republican husbands reelection. I couldn’t understand a word he said except something about how many people would fit into a 16 wheeler or something like that.
