  1. “And when those blue snowflakes start falling
That’s when those blue memories start calling
Youll be doin all right, with your Christmas of white
But I’ll have a blue, blue blue blue Christmas…”
    — apologies to Elvis

  2. And may it snow Democratic registrations all through the year. Best to you and Bubba, J.J.

TalG-no worries. Elvis left the building back in 77 if memory serves. I stopped at an A+W drive-in in Emmetsburg,Iowa and told this young lady working there that the radio just announced Elvis’ passing. She had no idea who or what Elvis was and I didn’t bother to enlighten her.

    Great card, JJ!
I wish you a happy holy-day and everyone else on this blog, as well.
My own beliefs range from no God to 3 in one to only one and to thousands of them–I include everyone’s beliefs into my own, because once you get to a certain place in our individual journeys they become the same–I was on a cruise once and a Sikh man, (Islam/Hindu religion) a Jewish woman and a Christian/Zen Buddhist woman were all discussing the various belief systems we came from–and the part we agreed on completely was that it all came down to love–the Dali Lama said it best, “My religion is kindness” that is my belief as well, we are here to love one another and kindness is the outward manifestation of that love. So be Merry-the sun/son of light and love is returning and we will all be renewed.

  8. Just FYI – Sikhs seem to be similar to Hindus but they are their own religion.

Heh. Just put up the tree today. It’s decorated in that shade of blue this year.

Happy Christmas & Merry Holidays, Y’all.

    Nice card! Go Blue Texas!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

Happy Holidays to all who celebrate one of the many diverse traditions that make our country great!

  11. Happy holidays to you one and all. Let’s show Perry the door next year.

    11
  12. Nice graphic! Dear Texans, to paraphrase Wendy Davis: I wish you a state that is “a lot less Lone and a lot more Star”. *Blue* Star, of course!

    Merry and Happy to all!

  13. Hope you are having a “grand(ma)” holiday season. But I thought there’d be way more sparkly stuff on your tree.

  14. Adding to what Elise said, the Pagan core ethic, besides “Do what you want provided it doesn’t hurt anyone” (and that can be pretty broad if you think it out) is that whatever you do, good or bad, comes back to you threefold, so kindness is big with them too. I think it’s that way with every society, because that’s the only way we can live in a group.

  15. Well, we are near the end of a tough year, and the next year, with its mid-term elections, promises to be brutal.

But it’s Christmas, and maybe some of those self-satisfied Republicans, wrapped in their robes of self-righteousness, will charitably think of the two children hidden under the robe of Dicken’s Ghost of Christmas Present. It would be a self-serving act on their part:

“They are Man’s (children)….The boy is Ignorance. The girl is want. Beware of them both, and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy, for on his brow I see that written which is Doom unless the writing be erased.”

But, as it’s Christmas, we will be charitable to everyone including Republicans; as Tiny Tim observed, God bless Us, Every One!
