It’s A Deal, Skippy!

Woo … woo … a statement.

Damn, I find myself in the odd predicament of agreeing with Donald Trump: The single most important thing for Republicans to do is – don’t vote.  But hell, they’re gonna whine either way.

slipstream too finds hisownself in the odd predicament of agreeing with Donald Trump. I think we should solve the attempted presidential election fraud. And I think the House Select Committee has a good start on solving that if they cite Steve Bannon for contempt and slap him in the stony lonesome until he complies with the subpoena, provides all the documents demanded, and testifies in full about Trump’s repeated attempts to overthrow the lawfully elected government of the United States.

Once the other bit players see that Trump can’t do anything to protect Bannon, they will fall like dominoes.

And I agree that it would be terrific if Republicans do not vote in 2022 or 2024. Anybody who voted for Trump has already demonstrated a distinct lack of discernment and should refrain from voting in the future.

Follow anything tRump says and his illogical bleats take one over a cliff. This is the exception that proves the rule. Cannot detect a “downside” to his latest promise. We accept, Donnie.

So this is his way to motivate the repugnantican party? Is he smart enough to come up with this himself or did one of his handlers think this would spur the election fraud maniacs to pick up the pace with more audits? Or maybe this would force the cultists to beg him to run again. Or did he accidentally type “not” behind “will”? Is he smart enough to troll us like this?

Yikes! I’m in agreement with the Old Pretender! Wouldn’t that be a wonderful election in 2022 and 2024? No more Texas GOP running the state, our Senate could have enough Dems to pass needed legislation . . He’s just toying with us, getting our hopes up!

  6. Usually I’m an everybody gotta vote kinda guy, but the thought of total and sufficient perhaps dominating Democratic control of congress is delicious. This is the only time I will ever cheer them on…

Thanks for the good news, Steve and P.P.!

I’m suspicious. This sounds to me more like T**** cracking the whip over the bog-standard Republican Party, warning them that if they don’t make him the dictator for life, he’ll take his toys (MAGAt voters) and stay home.

The Republican elites have been making some noises lately about maybe, sometime in the future, starting to sorta think about growing a spine or two. They know the craziness is out of control, but are terrified of the monster they created and handed things over to. This is a calculated move, designed to remind the corporate Republicans that “their” party is now “his” party.

Don’t get me wrong, he did a great job of getting Repubs to stay home during their Senate run-offs, and we all would like to see the same thing next year. But note that his letter had complete sentences that don’t have his usual weird capital letters and incoherence. This is a power move among Republicans, and has nothing to do with the rest of us.

That’s WAAAAAAY too good to be true. But, hey, if Trump’s cult wants to follow his directive, who am I to stop them? All y’all stay home!

  13. At the secret zoom meeting last week of the zionist cabal or the comintern or maybe the international- I can’t remember what we are calling ourselves nowadays- we were trying to predetermine the optimal vote totals for the next big election. We were thinking a ten million vote differential would show incremental progress, but not be too unbelievable. Whats his name is going to make it really hard to keep it close. At the next meeting, I am going to move to make it a fifteen million vote victory.
We have to get the order placed for the bamboo ballots soon because the shipping and trucking problems are making a mess of on time deliveries.
This conspiracy stuff is more difficult than anyone knew.

  14. First, thanks Chester.

Second, I think I am just paranoid. If Trump tells them not to vote…what will they do instead to totally reject the process?

I don’t see this as MAGAts grabbing their marbles and going home, but instead as an initiator of armed revolution.

They are nuts and continue to demonstrate that they BELIEVE violence is not only called for, but their God-given right.

Add to it their belief the any opposition is anti-gun, so they’ll think that actually taking the government by force will be “a cake walk.”

Yes, I would love it if they all stayed out of the next two elections as a form of objection–but I see it as a danger because they are not passive conscientious objectors.

    14
  15. I think Trump’s statement signals a dubious flirtation with trying another putsch, that he’s no longer so concerned with, or relying on, actually winning an election. I hope law enforcement intelligence are awake at the helm.

  16. Jane & PKM says:

chester @13, it can’t be that hard. Look at all the Qcumbers who do this daily. Free yourself of those chains of decency and honesty that are hampering you. And, by all means throw that obstacle called “consistency” out the door; burn it, bury it and be free.

Select your lie. Then think of it as a snowball rolling down hill. Chunk falls off? Patch it; the materials in a material lie do NOT have to match. Keep on rolling. Slap on a band aid of lies wherever and whenever is necessary, just keep on rolling. In the 24/7 news cycle tomorrow is a NEW day. If all else fails and some rare bird remembers what you said an hour earlier? Attack with “you are misquoting me. Why do you hate puppies?” Oops. Sorry “attack” is such a harsh term. So defend yourself, chester. Throw kittens. Throw children. Hell, throw Grandma under the bus, and keep on rolling.

Learned all that from ‘watching’ tRump. Usually just 1-2 notes of his blather actually, depending on how fast my thumb could hit “mute.” Or, “off.” Amazing what a person can learn through osmosis with the TV off. The microwave! Quick!! Someone unplug the microwave!!!

  18. Buttermilk Sky says:

I would love to see the “thorough and conclusive” documentation of 2020 election fraud, but I understand it’s being audited and can’t be released. Or is that just his tax returns?

Anything that shortens lines at polling places — here in Georgia it’s illegal to give water to someone who just fainted — is all good.

  19. Some friggin’ mass hallucination going on about that Trump statement.
Interpreted from the frame of mind of a Trumpie, it says that “if the Big Lie isn’t corroborated, the Democrats will make sure that no Republicans will be able to vote.”
You just have to “get yer mind right” to understand it, but I have yet to see this translation in public, which this blog is not!
Maybe the Lamestream Media is trying to convince all the weak minded Trumpies that he doesn’t want them to vote. An inspired ju-jitsu move move…
