My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

Have to hand it to Pete – he’s quick. Asked about what he would do if he won and tRump wouldn’t leave – he said that if tRump would do chores, maybe something could be worked out.
1No matter who has been ahead or behind, I have never stopped favoring Pete. I am sure I will vote for him in Alaska’s primary. (Dying to see the results of your primary in Texas.)

5i was raised by an alcoholic and his enabler. i’ve NEVER understood the rigid definition of family that so called ‘christians’ uphold. that ‘christian’ ideal of a man married to a woman was not such a great place for my sibs and i. as long as a child is in a LOVING home that can provide for basic needs and some stuff a kid wants, it makes no difference what those people look like. love is love. Pete’s right to direct the focus to what matters. i hope some lucky kids are blessed to be in his home soon.

7I voted for a woman in the primary but I could vote for Mayor Pete in the general. Actually, I intend to vote for anyone the Dems. put forward although I might have to hold my nose voting for a couple of them.

9As I see it, no candidate is perfect. At this point I don’t care if the Democratic primary winnner is a male, female, straight, gay or a billionaire as long as he or she can wallop the hell out of Trump on election day.
10Papa @10, any conversation that begins with the caprice of two consenting adults loses the interest of most of us. Anything after “two consenting adults” isn’t a voting matter. Nor should any of the other Republicon ‘hot button’ topics such as reproductive health rights and privacy be on the ballot. Maybe we should explain to Kentucky that due to a mistake on their ballot they errantly voted for Rand Paul, when Ru Paul was their candidate of choice.
Forget “vote Blue no matter who,” folks. It’s all about the season. Gift, present, or sweet treat, whatever one’s beliefs or lack of beliefs, ridding ourselves of Donnie* is the reason for the season this year.

If Mayor Pete had a single honest bone in his body he would be running as a thuglican. But since “fighting” for decency in his natural party of choice is just too too hard he figures with his billionaire backers that he can steal the d’s nomination.

To my preferred images to be taken from the Democratic ‘debate’ tonight add one of Mayor Pete in an ejection seat being ‘removed’ from Magic Mike’s $tretch limo at Mach speed. Shake my notion if you can, anyone please. But timing, $$$, surges & declines, etc. leave me wondering if Mayor Pete isn’t simply being used as a place holder in states where Magic Mike failed to parachute in ahead of ballot deadlines.
