Irony Is Alive, Well, and Sashying At The White House

February 06, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

This morning at the annual prayer breakfast, Trump went after Pelosi and Romney, or should I say put their heads on a pike (outraged much Collins and Murkowski?).  He denounced them by chastising them “for invoking religion during the impeachment proceedings.” He proclaimed —

“I don’t like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong. Nor do I like people who say, ‘I pray for you,’ when they know that’s not so.”

Holy damn crap with a communion wafer on top.

Trump would never, ever, for any reason whatsoever invoke religion.

And more —

There’s hundreds more.

That’s the Republicons Donnie,* peeing in his whine and thinking he’s improving a bottle of vinegar.

  2. are they all wackos or are they being paid to look like supporters???

  3. Yes well, he has courted the Fundies and they have supported him ever since he cited “Two Corinthians” and stopped short of saying “walked into a bar.”

    Probably both.
He held a rally at some plant or other and the workers were told by management, “Come to the rally or stay home from work that day — with no pay.”

    The rally was well attended.

If I worked there, you can bet I would be thinking about more than the missed day’s pay. For instance, whose side would my boss take in a dispute? If a promotion becomes available, would my absence be a deciding factor? When the lay-offs come, would my non-attendance weigh in the balance?

  5. I shall state it again: The road these people are paving isn’t leading where they think…

  6. “Thoughts and Prayers” are sent by Trump and the GOP when they know that isn’t so.

    6
  7. Oh that these people could actually drown their own hypocrisy.

  8. But you fail to appreciate the subtle distinctions.

It is in a whole new realm when *the chosen one* invokes religion — being a “true believer” and all.

Sadly, the only thing he truly believes in is the grandiose and bloated image he has of himself.

Can we just cut to the chase now and announce the 2020 T-Rump campaign slogan? Tax cuts for billionaires and swastikas for everybody else!

  10. Quite a display of Old Testament retribution and vindictiveness. Although since Trump has all those reverends circling around him, he might want to talk about himself more, like he usually does.

  11. Trump was chosen by god because he ran out of locusts.

How Christian of trump and his supporters.

    12
  13. Pelosi had a great presser today (2/6), saying she ripped up not a speech but a manifesto of lies. And insinuated trump is a drug addict by saying he appeared “sedated” during the speech and that he appeared sedated at last year’s SOTU as well. She also criticized Limpballs getting his medal in the People’s House, saying it should have been done in the WH. That she wouldn’t do the House’s business in the WH but in the Capitol bdlg. Wow! There were a lot more gems but those stood out to me.

    13
  14. Trump??? Religion??? Nah! But then pigs squeal the minute you look at them.

    14
  15. Well , he IS a dipstick .
