Iran Wins War Before It Starts
In a letter to the Iraqi prime minister today, Marine Corps Brigadier General William H. Seely III, the commanding general of Task Force Iraq, announced that “in deference to the sovereignty of the Republic of Iraq,” US and coalition troops will withdraw from the country. So, in the last month, Trump has turned Syria over to Turkey, who immediately murdered hundreds of our Kurdish allies, then killed the military leader of Iran. Subsequently, Iran announced it was withdrawing from the multi country nuclear treaty and that it was restarting its full scale uranium enrichment program. Then, Trump threatened to bomb cultural sites in Iran. THEN, Iraq ordered US troops out of the country to which we just agreed. Oh, and Chevron has announced it is withdrawing ALL expatriates out of the country immediately. Most other companies have already done that.
So, through Trump’s bungling, Iran has greatly increased its influence over this region of the Middle East, making Iraq basically a satellite of their own country. Without coalition forces on the ground anywhere in the Kurdish areas of norther Iraq and Syria, Trump has opened the entire region to expansion by ISIS and other Islamic extremists.
So much “winning”.
Iran couldn’t have designed a scenario to better benefit their long-range goals. They don’t need to risk retaliation by launching a massive attack. Iran will use its proxies to inflict a myriad of cuts on US interests and drive the wedge Trump has created between us and our allies even deeper.
They’re much better at this revenge stuff that an impulsive jerk like Trump. Obama knew this and many Democratic leaders do also; the GOP, not so much.
1Please note that Russian Federation troops recently took possession of the third US base since we abandoned our position in Turkey.
2Hey wait a minute…It was an honest mistake. I swear!

3Not only that,
We abandoned 3 military bases in Syria.
Russia walked in and took them over.
The embassy in Iraq cost 750 million dollars.
There are approximately 5,500 U.S. Special Operations Forces in Iraq, spread across 7 different facilities, and another 5 bases in Iraqi Kurdistan, being used as training bases for Iraqi and Kurdish forces as well as launching operations against targets in Syria.
The best negotiator, the best real estate man has cost the US billions of dollars in abandoned buildings.
4How much did Iran etc pay to the trumpkin to make this happen? It would be nice to think the trumpkin was just plane crooked but I really think this was just the Kakistocracy carrying on as usual!
5“The assassination of Soleimani isn’t an Israeli event but an American event. We were not involved and should not be dragged into it,” Prime Minister Netanyahu told his security cabinet. And he named an illegal settlement after trump.
We are alone.

Maybe it’s in trade for a Trump shell corporation hotel in Moscow, which he’s always wanted anyway. Or one for the kids. If so please let it be Tiffany.
7Trump has done everything in his (usurped) power to alienate every single ally. He has mocked, insulted, demeaned and abandoned any and every ally he could.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has “expressed disappointment” by the lukewarm reaction of the (former) European allies. What did he, or any rational person expect!
Commander Bonespurs is not mentally capable of appreciating the implications and consequences of his actions. He still doesn’t *get* that he is not king of the world or the embodiment of Christ.
8Speaking of Chevron, look who paid no taxes last year on 4.5 Billion in profits, but got a big refund from the IRS.

First, that Reuter’s story link must have changed, it now reads that there is no US force pullout planned ATT, we’ll see I guess.
Let me remind y’all that Iran has been closely aligned with Russia for years, and China has become a close ally of the Iranians too recently. They have all been holding joint military exercises the last few months…
The Iranians even have close ties with the DPRK, North Korea, Rocketman Kimmie, DJT’s BFF; from whom they’ve acquired and shared missile and nuclear technology.
Things couldn’t really get more F’ed up, could they? Oh… wait… Venezuela’s falling apart, they gots lots of oil, and they’re not too far away.. could be another collective GrOPer boner on the rise.
Like Nancy Pelosi said, all tRump’s roads lead to Putin and Russia.
10Buttermilk Sky @6:
11“We are alone.”
With regards to the Middle East, you’re exactly right.
And after rubbing the whole world’s nose in it by demonstrating that any agreement made with the United States of America can be worth less than the paper it’s written on every 4 years, made increasingly more true as time passes with our electorate being fed propaganda disguised as news, it’s just getting worse.
There’ve always been folks who believe total American strength and world domination is ours by some divine right.
12Treaties are weakness to these folks.
This worldview is what’s being pushed by right wing media and social media propaganda. trump’s actions are seen as divinely blessed. His followers will thank the Lord when he has our troops commit war crimes of some kind. Making US an actual rogue state. Than we’ll be totally alone.
donald f**king trump is definitely doing a lotta winning.
13For Russia. And Iran. And China. And any other nation looking to exert their influence and promote their interests in places of the world that used to look to US.
Apparently Iran now says it’s gonna target Trump properties, e.g. hotels, around the world. I’m guessing that all they’d have to do is a modest scare at ONE hotel and business would drop off at most of them. I mean, you wanna stay at the hotel with the sign on the front that says “Hi, folks, I’m a bulls-eye for Iran and all of its allies!” – or maybe find someplace with a nice quiet name like the Bide-a-Wee?
14I had a back and forth between myself and some conservative that went:
“We should have weighed the cost of killing Iran’s number 2 guy against the benefit. ”
“Oh, so we should do nothing in response to the killing of a contractor.”
“We should have responded in kind, just not with Iran’s number 2, because for him martyrdom would be a HUGE win in the efforts to push the US out of the region.”
And therein lies the problem. For martyrs-to-be, death is another tool to succeed, not feared…
15And the numbnuts who still support the Golden Gibbon cannot grasp the truth – they still “like” what he is doing even if the GG’s tactics are fatal. Let the fall out be on them and theirs. Lets see what they say then.
16Headline on this assignation should be
17“Trump assassinates Ivanka’s business partner rather then share any profits”
