In Austin With David and Goliath

August 01, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The hearing starts at 2:00.  I will try to update on here but to be honest I’m not a lawyer so I may not understand it all.

The New York Times did a great article this morning.

Send all your good karma this direction, please

i was just informed that we have to turn our phones OFF in the courtroom   Will write about it later

Lil’ Bubba with Bubba at the Travis County Courtroom.

Okay, it’s over. Sorry about that but they make you turn off your phone in the courtroom.  I didn’t know that.

The judge will have a decision within 30 days.  Everybody thinks Mark did great!  We’re going to eat now with a bunch of reporters.

Okay, so Alex Jones did not show up. His lawyers were given 1 and half hours to argue their case and spent 35 minutes of it showing a recording of one of Alex’s shows.  It was gawd-awful.  Jones went on a Muslim attack and then talked about a female lawyer on CNN but couldn’t recall her name.  So he said, “you know, that blonde gal on CNN,” while making big ta-tas gestures with his hands.  Then the lawyer told the judge, “I personally don’t even listen to the guy.”  In short his argument was, “I know my client is a jerk but he has First Amendment rights.”

It was amazing.

During Lil’ Bubba’s talk he added a comment at the end saying that Jones is now demanding $100,000 from the Sandy Hook parents and  that shows his character.

Making their final arguments, Jones’ lawyer said that Jones was now withdrawing that motion and he no longer wants the $100,000.

Yeah, now.

We’re back in court tomorrow to hear that the young man in Massachusetts who Jones accused of being the Florida school shooter and put his picture online.

Good coverage from the Austin newspaper.

And the teevee station.

Be social and share!

  1. you’re gonna be in the same room with a. jones – ewwwww

  2. I had an encounter with AJ back in his ACTV days. He was a world-class ass then and he hasn’t gotten any better since. I hope he gets nailed good for everything he’s got.

Justice for those maligned children and families!!!

  4. Jill Ann says:

Best of luck to Bubba Jr. He is truly doing the Lord’s work.

  5. That Other Jean says:

All good fortune to the plaintiffs and their lawyer. Alex Jones, whether he’s actually crazy or merely pretending to be, has caused them irreparable harm and pain, and deserves to be stopped, fined every penny he has, and shunned for the rest of his life.

    5
  6. Jane & PKM says:

Kudos to Bubba Jr. for shifting the David & Goliath paradigm in the Alex Jones “post-truth” world during the reign of Dotard45. Alex Jones and others playing victim while crying about their 1st and 2nd Amendment rights is the penultimate “false flag” operation. May the best man win which in this case ends with Bubba Jr. planting that ‘flag’ straight into the black heart of the alternative ‘facts’ universe.

    6
  7. JJ, maybe you can recruit some other attendee to do your updates for you if you don’t feel ready for it. I am sure all of us are dying to hear what is going on. I do absolutely want Bubba, Jr. to wipe the floor with that piece of filth.

  8. Karen Crosby says:

    Go Mark!

Good karma is coming from Pittsburgh, J.J. Bless your “David”
and may the Force of justice be with him. Time for consequences for a major hate monger.

  10. Too bad we can’t punish these modern-day nazi propagandists the way we punished the OG Nazi propagandists after WWII.

    10
  11. From DFW metroplex, all good wishes!

    11
  12. Good luck to lil Bubba! Get smiting!

    12
  13. “we have to turn our phones OFF in the courtroom”

That ruling does not bode well for Alex Jones. They’re already taking away 1st Amendment rights (his defense) even before the hearing begins.

Setting a precedent that there are times when other factors override a broad based interpretation for freedom of speech.

    13
  14. Barbara Kurthf says:

Why is AJ’s belt unbuckled in the NYT photo?

    14
  15. it is my fervent hope that Jr. crushes Jones, like the parasitic bacterium that he is, leaving him destitute, and confined, for the rest of his utterly miserable life, on the Dry Tortugas.

it’s the only way to be sure.

    15
  16. Thank your son from me. And give yourself a pat on the back for raising him right.
    Vermin need to be destroyed.
Never thought I’d describe another human as vermin, but Alex Jones makes it easy.

    16
  17. I am so proud of Bubba, Jr. and Senior for having the courage to make Alex Jones face up to the fact that he’s harmed many innocent persons in his thirst for attention, power, and money. Go, Team Bubba!

    17
  18. The Surly Professor says:

    Barbara Kurthf :
“Why is AJ’s belt unbuckled in the NYT photo?”

At the risk of offending sensibilities … a friend who was charged with armed robbery (he was guilty) ended up in court in Fort Worth with a public defender he had never seen before, with no defense witnesses, and no offer made for a plea bargain. The terminology of the time (and the underworld he lived in) is that my friend walked into court with his, uh, appendage in his hand.

So maybe AJ is about to walk into court in a similar state of defense preparation, and his lawyers told him to unbuckle in preparation.

Yeah, I know: in the underworld AJ has slithered from, they probably told him it would impress the ladies. [And right there, I just grossed myself out. Sorry.]

As for phones in court: take it seriously. In some courts if a phone rings or even detectably vibrates, the phone is cited for contempt of court and put into jail (the evidence locker) for 6 weeks. If the phone owner wants to complain, the owner is also cited for contempt. Judges are not happy with electronic interruptions to the proceedings!

    18
  19. The Surly Professor says:

Since phones aren’t allowed, mebbe our Proprietess has not had a chance yet to post the defense argument:

“Alex Jones’s Attorneys Argue That No Reasonable Person Would Believe What He Says”

That is from Texas Monthly: https://www.texasmonthly.com/politics/alex-joness-attorneys-defamation-suit-argue-no-reasonable-person-believe-says/

So maybe my conjecture about his belt being unbuckled is actually true?

    19
  20. That’s just the belt for this suit our able legal team has laid on invertebrate Alex. Other suits and therefore belts await AJ. The Texas justice system does grind slowly, but usually makes compost of such litigants and their counsel. Which is good really because my oak trees have suffered this year. A bag of rotting AJ might pep them right up, if not too flubbery.

    20
  21. slipstream says:

The problem isn’t that his belt is unbuckled.

The problem is that his brain is unbuckled.

    21
  22. Steve Schlackman says:

You didn’t know that you couldn’t keep your cell phone on in court? Your family is stinky with lawyers. Shame on you.

    22
  23. Marion Mlotok says:

I was in court today too. Hi again, Susan! One small clarification. The hearing today was recessed to give the lawyers the opportunity to make sure that everything they think is in the filing is really there. After the hearing is reconvened and then completed, then the judge will have 30 days to rule on the dismissal. I am not a lawyer either.

    23
  24. Juanita Jean Herownself says:

Thanks, Marion. As a matter of fact, I’m doing some research for Mark about that right now.

    24
  25. Old Fart says:

To start with, all the moving costs, losses of wages, and lifetime security detail payments. Then we go on to penalties.

Lots and lots and lots of penalties…

    25
  26. You must be bursting with pride! Good luck on the case…in my book you do not need a Judge to tell you Jones is a “scumbag” lowlife. How dare he say those things.

    26
  27. I’m here with my Dictionary of Psychology and both versions of the DSM, the big tome and the pocket edition. Jones fits into so many of the diagnoses that it is impossible to truly fit him into just one. If anybody needs to be on meds, its him!

Plus, JJ, that pix of both Bubbas in the courtroom really made me say “awwww!” It is just made for an enlargement, a frame and a very good spot on the wall!

    27
  28. This is thrilling! It’s wonderful that Jr. may finally bring this tyro to heel.

    28
  29. Good luck to your son in winning against this inhuman piece of whatever awfulness you can imagine…….no soul. Blessings upon your head for raising the right kind of human.

    29
  30. Lunargent says:

So, Jones’es own lawyers said that everyone who takes his ravings seriously are idiots? That’s hysterical!
