If You’re Like Me

March 21, 2022 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I am watching the Ketanji Brown Jackson hearing this morning.  I can bet you at least a glimpse of raw unfettered racism before this is over.

I’m not saying Brown is more qualified than Amy Coney Barrett, but damn she is more qualified than Amy Coney Barrett and a sober Brett Kavanaugh combined.

And, of course, you knew this was coming …

Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley has raised concerns about Jackson’s record on sentencing in child pornography cases. Hawley said on Twitter last week that there is “an alarming pattern when it comes to Judge Jackson’s treatment of sex offenders, especially those preying on children.”

Ya know, they bring it up so much that they have to be doing it much more than we’ve caught them at it.

Nevuh criticize a member of the Qcumber Nazi Party, unless you are prepared hold their beer while they respond to the challenge.

Also watching the hearings. Torn between an inappropriate response to invoke harm on conservatard Senators, and an overwhelming urge to apologize to Judge Brown Jackson that ‘leaders,’ people in the Senate supposed to be the ‘august’ body of our government, are racist little spoiled brats.

  2. I’m listening to the hearing on CSPAN radio and I gotta say, Lordy, I do hate me some Republicans. If that party goes the way of the Whigs, it won’t be too soon for me.

Was teddy cruz in a hurry to get back to DC from Montana to support hawley at Jackson’s hearing when he got into it with airport security? Sounds like even in deep red Montana, there are people who know what he’s really like. And don’t like him.

  4. Oh, and I hate Ted Cruz most of all. I’m glad I don’t have that man’s nerve in my tooth! How can you tell he’s lying? His lips are moving. Thank You very much. Don’t forget to tips your waitress.

Oh the visage, the absolutely divine visage of Judge Jackson Brown when Teddie Crooze entered his ugly onto a mic. There are the “looks that could kill,” but ever so politely Judge Brown Jackson’s face said: “excuse me will I scrape this dogshit off my shoe.”

Steve@3, if Teddie didn’t leave the airport in a bag with a toe tag, Montana needs to review its airport security for serious lapses.

  6. Yes Matt Gaetz comes to mind.
So does Jim ( turning a blind eye to sex abuse) Jordan.
    And Denny Hastardt.

Then there’s jim jordan complaining about Democrats treatment of brett kavanaugh. What about his treatment of wrestlers that were molested at The Ohio State?

  8. I wish she could use the technique I used when I worked in ICU. There were family members usually men who tried to test my knowledge or expertise. They would ask questions they thought I might not be able to answer. I was stunned when it first happened. My response was to with amazing politeness (could not condescend) overwhelm them with details and explanations way beyond their comprehension. I showed them what I knew and how well I did my job….with all the sweetness I could muster. It generally shut them up.
She however cannot do that, but if she could, it would be brutal. She is not being questioned by “a jury of her peers”. She is strong enough to listen to those fools and not act like the petulant children who are questioning her. I feel better getting that out. Wish I could blast Marsha B to her face. Yes, I live in TN.

“I’m not saying Brown is more qualified”

    Day Four of KBJ confirmation:
The –only– Rethuglikans to appear for today’s hearing are leader Grassley and Cornyn.
–All– the other Rethugs are apparently embarrassed by their previous hijinks [/s] and are hiding out [mebbe at Mar-A-Pendejo]; Cruz, Cotton, Howley, et al are conspicuous by their absence.

The ABA Cmte on Fed Judiciary gives KBJ top recommendations.

    ‘are conspicuous by their absence’..
Dang, I forgot to include Ms. Lindsey Graham, who might have been the rudest and worst of all the Rethugs.

Anyone want to wager on Joe the manshit voting with Democrats to confirm Judge Brown’s nomination to the SCOTUS? That would risk his future as a repugnantican. I’m very skeptical. Same with Sinema I suppose.

  12. Steve from Beaverton says:

Pleasant surprise that Manchin has said he would vote for Judge Brown and it is believed Sinema will as well, although she didn’t come right out and say so. She just said she would represent the voters of Arizona. Guess that means yes??
