I Told You So
Remember back in January when the Dallas Republican Party filed suit to have all 128 Democrats removed from the November ticket because the county chair did not sign their applications for office even when that’s not required?
And remember when Glen Maxey told them that were wrong, wrong, wrong?
Well, they were.
JUDGE DISMISSES DALLAS COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY’S FRIVOLOUS LAWSUIT TO REMOVE DALLAS COUNTY DEMOCRATS FROM BALLOT
Dallas, TX – Judge Eric Moyé of the 14th Civil District Court has dismissed the Dallas County Republican Party’s frivolous lawsuit to remove over eighty Democratic candidates, most of whom are minorities, from the 2018 general election ballot in Dallas County.
The case was dismissed and now Dallas Republicans have to stand for election in an terribly unfair playing field because they have actual opponents.
Have a drink on me tonight.
Can they be sanctioned for filing a frivolous lawsuit?
1A judge’s finding that a lawsuit is frivolous generally makes the plaintiff responsible for paying the defendant’s attorney’s fees. It’s a start, anyway.
2This. This right here is why Republicans across the country aren’t all up in arms about what Russia did in 2016. In fact, they’re rooting for it to keep it up.
Hell, Russia was just taking a page from their very own playbook. But then, we knew that already.
3Hee hee hee!!! Witha a wicked grin!
4Founded in either stupidity, desperation, or both.
Waiting for somebody to claim that the judge is a closet Democrat, which I assume isn’t likely.
5Thank you ever so much for the best news I’ve had today 😉
6Thank’s for the invite, but drinking on Trump is more than enough.
7And if you’re the president’s doctor, apparently drinking on the job is so commonplace that allegations of excessive drinking on the job have surfaced abut Donnie’s pick to run the V.A.
8And now for something completely different.
The Daily Beast has an interview with Mel Brooks. It’s not spectacular, but it’s, you know, Mel Brooks.
J.J.
9It just occurred to me that nobody else has in fact given you credit for telling us so.
So thanks.
And especially for the link to the post with the Emily Litella bit.
That made my night.
Guess I’m old fashioned. But I always thought an action had to be illegal before one could sue. Guess not in some rethug areas. Heh heh heh. At least they’re good for an occassional laugh, but they’re embarrassments and soooo stupid.
10That judge has restored my faith that is you dig hard enough you CAN unearth a few good men.
11Anther one (rethug attempt to destroy the democratic process)
12bites the dust!
