I Love Yew, Houston
I’ve told you guys before that I live dangerously close to Houston. It’s comfortably close during baseball season, but dangerously close when it’s not.
Today, I am happy that Houston is my neighbor.
They are doing voter registration at Taco trucks.
Accordingly, The World’s Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc. is declaring election day to be Taco Tuesday.
Please feel free to share this with anyone who loves tacos.
Thanks to JAKvirginia for the cool graphic.
Now that is plain old good old American creativity at work, the kind that made this country great!
1I read somewhere that someone is working on a plan to have taco trucks at all polling locations on election day, so bring cash to vote!
2Awesome!
Makes me hope for Texas, and my poor Dem relatives there.
3Brilliant!
4Holy Chorizo! My cousin, Jesus Hachecristo, might even register, if he weren’t already registered in Chicago…
…eight times.
5Ima gonna vote early. Cause life is unpredictable.
But if Ima still breathing on election day, I’d really like my precinct’s taco truck to deliver me some huevos rancheros, a really, really good home made salsa rojo (none of that made in New Joisey crapola) and a grande side of chorizo. And a couple of Tums cause while I like all of dat, none of it likes me! 🙂
6It’ll certainly make the 9 hour wait to vote easier to take, seeing as how them reTHUGlians have reduced voting days AND polling places to one day and two places per state in many regions. Was that Jorga or Alabanna that closed half their DMVs to cut the registrations down to a single-spaced page?
7Sorry, Alabanana, not Alabanna.
8The aroma alone will draw crowds of people to register. Wonderful!
9My dad always said he liked only two kinds of pies: hot ones and cold ones. I feel that way about tacos. Fortunately they are easy to find in San Antonio.
10Whahooooo!
11Oh, dear! JJ… you outed me!
Now I will have to assume another secret identity! Damn!
12Great plan JJ. I wonder if they’re doing that in Minneapolis? We have lotsa taco trucks.
