I Don’t Know Where You’re Spending Thanksgiving, But I Want to Have Dinner at the Cheney’s
Whoa Nelly, can you even imagine the dinner conversation at the Cheney Thanksgiving table?
On Fox News Sunday, Dick Cheney, Jr, Liz, said that she believes in traditional marriage. She added that she loves her sister but, “This is just an issue on which we disagree.”
Mary Cheney took to Facebook to say ….
“Liz – this isn’t just an issue on which we disagree – you’re just wrong – and on the wrong side of history.”
Mary and her wife, Heather Poe, were married in Washington, DC, last year.
“Liz has been a guest in our home, has spent time and shared holidays with our children, and when Mary and I got married in 2012 – she didn’t hesitate to tell us how happy she was for us,” Poe wrote on the social media site. “To have her now say she doesn’t support our right to marry is offensive to say the least.”
Personally, I wouldn’t let one member of that family have anything to do with a sharp knife on Thanksgiving.
Thanks to Victoria Linn for the heads up.
Oh boy. I’ll let you go to the Cheney’s Thanksgiving. I’m staying as far away as possible.
1In a way I am so glad that somebody else has a family crazier than mine! We get along as well as we have cuz we do NOT spend big holidays together on a routine basis. Sometimes we go out to a decent restaurant, us in Washington, D.C.; some in Alabama, and others in Michigan. One way to stay the best of friends!
2So the Cheney sisters, Daddy Dick, gun lovers with a grudge.
3What could possibly go wrong???
Looks like that Thanksgiving dinner might top the one at the Petraus house after the revelations.
According to the NY Times, Mary and Heather are hosting Dick and Lynn for Thanksgiving; Liz isn’t coming.
4I think this is all a big old lie. Liz is fifty points behind in Wyoming. She thinks this will clear the state’s GOP base’s and sister Mary and her wife are helping her out with a fake family feud. I’m telling you all this is a set up. The Cheneys loyalty to each other is thicker than Michelle Bachmann’s head. I don’t trust any of them as far as I could find warm blood pouring out of Dick’s new heart.
5Pass the gravy!
6Thanksgiving 2013 at the Cheney’s – – this years theme; Shock & Awe.
7This is entirely political to lower herself to the levels of conservative bigots in Wyoming. I hope the voters see through it & re-elect Enzi.
Then again, if she really believes it, with a sister like Liz Cheney, who needs enemies? Selling out your own blood to impress haters? That whole family (expect Mary) needs therapy.
8So, is Liz being “petulant” or “truculent”? Rachel Maddow has a photo of Mary, Liz, and Dick on her webpage, where Mary and Dick are sharing a comment, with Liz in the middle. Liz’s expression is priceless. If she were a little girl, she would be cruising for a spanking.
9Mary Chaney is the only normal one in that family.
10I wouldn’t let one member of that family have anything to do with a sharp knife–or a shotgun–on any day whatsoever.
11Maryelle … Pass the gravy and the dressing! And maybe throw in a turkey leg while you’re at it … sit back, folks, this will be a turkey day to remember in Wyoming! LOL
12Oh, come on. Let ’em have the guns as long as they stay in the middle of their own land and everyone else is out of range. Guns, knives, elk antlers, whatever takes their fancy.
Meanwhile, we’ve got the Sarah twinkle-toes coming to Texas, the “little sister of Alaska” as she so kindly put it in a tweet.
13This is what Voldemort has to say:
Dick Cheney On Liz Vs Mary
“This is an issue we have dealt with privately for many years, and we are pained to see it become public. Since it has, one this should be clear, Liz has always believed in the traditional definition of marriage. She has always treated her sister and her sister’s family with love and respect, exactly as she should have done. Compassion is called for, even when there is a disagreement about such a fundamental matter and Liz’s many kindnesses shouldn’t be used to distort her position.” – Same-sex marriage supporter Dick Cheney, coming to the rescue of Liz Cheney’s Senate aspirations in a statement reported today on CNN.
14Blood and cranberries.
15I think Angela may very well be right on. It’s hard to believe that one family could possibly be that evil and deceptive, but if the Cheney family isn’t number one in the evil department, they’re certainly first runner-up.
16I thought that Lizzie was divorced..?…–so that puts her in the Newt’s corner (divorcing a cancer patient, a wife that didn’t pass the President’s “arm candy look” well enough)he got Callista the blow-up doll to be on his arm–she spends big bucks at Tiffany’s, but doesn’t get the “Jackie O’s grace and culture–“bred in the bones”..I hope she gets wiped off the map–I have a friend 47, two kids in college, with congestive heart failure, waiting, waiting, waiting…there is so much to dislike!
17A pParty of “Family Values”, back-stabbing Enzi, getting the guy that Voldermort shot to give an apology, for getting in the way of the gun and any harm he may have put onto Cheney’ career. I’m too physically sick today to be kind.
Should have been Party–sorry!
18No sharp knives? I guess they’ll have to cook the bird while then — so Dick can blast its face off with a shotgun!
19😀
Sorry, that was supposed to be “whole”, not “while”…Darn stubby paws!
20I can’t wait until the press starts digging into Cheney’s husband’s background!

21Before you go, make sure they’ve already got the turkey. You do NOT want to be anywhere in the vicinity of a Cheney family turkey shoot.
22Poor Liz. She has officially become a hypocrite!
