Hot Wheels

You know all those fiscally conservative Tea Party members we elected to Congress?

Well, come to find out, they need hot wheels.

Though they campaigned on a platform of reducing the deficit and ridding wasteful spending, more than a half-dozen Tea Party congressmen have collectively spent over $100,000 in taxpayer money on personal vehicles.

They have places to go, people to see, and themselves to impress.

Cravaak: Should have gone with a Corvette

Many of the vehicles go beyond a standard sedan. For example, Chip Cravaack is charging taxpayers more than $1,000 a month to pay the lease on his 2011 Chevy Equinox, a crossover SUV with all-wheel drive.

Honey, for $1,000 a month, you can get a parade float with flashing lights to tote your butt around town in style.

Lookie here at the list:

They do have a defense, though.  They never once promised to be conservative with your money, just their own.

Thanks to a mess of people for the heads-up.

Be social and share!

But, Sean Duffy has about a half dozen rug-rats to haul around between his home, his vacation lake house and DC, right?

Maybe he should sell his vacation home & buy his own cars. Better yet, maybe they should all go home & get real jobs from their job creator friends – for minimum wage. I hear that socialist public transporation system might be available to some of them.

  2. IIRC that poor Sean Duffy couldn’t make ends meet on $174K and all the insider tips he could trade, so I guess he does need our help. I just don’t see why we should give it to him.

This is the sort of elected official crap that infuriates me. I don’t know if even one of these guys campaigned as fiscally conservative. But clearly they subscribe to some sort of Imperial view of themselves. What little $hit$ they are.

  4. Uh … aren’t they the ones who want to keep the doggone guvmint out of our lives? They want it out of OUR lives, but they want US to pay for their doggone vehicles … and they can’t figure out why sane and sensible folks hate them! I know, hate is a strong word … how about viscerally detest them!

  5. @Marcia, viscerally detest works for me.
