Hot Damn on a Chocolate Cake

I just want you to see this thing of beauty.

Of note

The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a June 2011 injunction from a lower-court judge blocking a law that would have prevented Planned Parenthood of Indiana from participating in the state’s Medicaid program.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services also spoke out against the law at the time, arguing in a letter to Indiana’s state Medicaid director that the proposed change violates federal Medicaid rules by restricting beneficiaries’ freedom to choose any qualified health care provider.

Now I want everybody to cuddle up to a moment of silence to ask that the same thing happens in Texas.

It would give Rick Perry an aneurysm.  He’d have to go out the N-head ranch and kill something.

Thanks to Sharon for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. Arizona too!

    2
  2. But not the Fifth Circuit, which tossed out a district court injunction that would have blocked Texas from banning Planned Parenthood from the Women’s Health Program. That’s awaiting rehearing right now.

    3
  3. Maybe Dick Cheney can go with Rick and shoot first?

    4
  4. Funny, as in odd, one person we have not seen out cheerleading is Gov. Mitch Daniels of Indiana – remember him – he was supposed to be the next great white hype? Guess his wife told him she would leave again.

    5
  5. @ Gramiam, I was thinking the same thing!

  7. Gramiam, funny as that is, I try not to wish bad karma on folks for fear of rebound. But lordy, lordy, something needs to stick to that man to prove to those that vote for the idiot that he is, indeed, an idiot.

I truly loved what our President said about Planned Parenthood providing services to women in last week’s debate. Haven’t had a chance to watch last night’s yet.

Nevertheless, the beat goes on! The latest Republican to shoot his mouth off on the subject of women, rape and pregnancy is Indiana’s U. S. Senate candidate, Richard Mourdock.

During a debate earlier today, Mourdock claimed that if a woman who has been raped becomes pregnant, “that’s something God intended.”

One report has it that Mourdock’s comment “doesn’t reflect Mitt Romney’s views.”

Gee, Mr. Mourdock, does that mean if God intended for a raped woman to become pregnant, He intended her to be raped in the first place? Inquiring minds want to know.

  9. Maybe the Indiana Supreme Court spoke just in time about Planned Parenthood cuz the idiot Republican candidate for Senate has just encouraged rapists with his contention that rape resulting from pregnancy is God’s plan. Well, if the God he prays to is Mars . . .

  10. Are these people completely oblivious to right and wrong? Or do they honestly believe that the present situation in this country will allow them to get away with their savagery?

  11. Wednesday morning and I just sent this to JJ …

Didn’t know if anyone had gotten hold of this one yet but I see UmptyDumpty did!!

  12. Anyone who thinks that there is NO War on Women only has to look at the State of Indiana and it’s State Treasurer! Trying to defund Planned Parenthood while also opposing aborting pregnancies conceived in rape because it “is something that God intended to happen…” is proof.

    14
  13. Well, let see…what else does god intend – children with cerebal palsey- babies born with flippers rather than arms….wars, pestilence, drought, famine?

The greatest dangers in this world except for ignorance are belief and faith. Ignorance causes them and faith and belief support and encourage ignorance. I knew I made a mistake when I missed the last space shuttle outta here.

  14. Alas, I doubt this ruling will help things in Texas. Perry and the legislature have simply rejected Medicaid money for women’s health services. They have stood up a program paid with entirely state funds. As a result, there has been quite a drop in level of service, to the detriment of poor women. That tactic, though, makes the legal situation quite different from in Indiana.
