Ok, the Guardian wins the internet today.
Thanks to Kary for heads up.
Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Worth the trip indeed.
1Roll that cricket tape…they would say nothing. Waiting for more facts. The question would be “how will this affect me” ?
2That pretty much sums it up, except they left out the 5-4 decision at the Supreme Court in the Republican’s favor.
3Fox News:
4“In his capacity as Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces, President Trump acted swiftly and decisively to end an attack on the government of the United States. The alleged perpetrator, under the alias of “Michael Cohen, threatened the Presidency and, by extension, the entire country. It was only by the swift, heroic action of our President that this threat was neutralized.”
Love those cheeky Brits.
5Papa, I agree with you in that I, too, love cheeky Brits. But let’s give credit where it’s due. Apparently, this was written by a couple of Americans who are credited at the bottom of the article: “Lawrence Douglas is the James J Grosfeld professor of law, jurisprudence and social thought, at Amherst College. Alexander George is the Rachel and Michael Deutch professor of philosophy at Amherst College in Amherst.” It’s well-done, regardless of which side of the pond the noble writers reside.
6Golf clap.

All I’d change from your fine work would be to reference Trump as Our Fearless Leader. Otherwise, spot on. Do you work for Fox News by chance?
8Trump is probably handing that article out as talking points to everyone ‘quoted.’
I can’t help but think, the number of people who know the president’s Undisclosed Location(s) must be getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller…
9From the Guardian comments:
— Brilliant! Only a few years ago, this article would have been above and beyond the absurd. Two years into Trump’s presidency, and this could actually be possible.
— Welcome to the new normal.
— Truer – and more dreadful – words were never spoken.
