Holy Damn Cow In Duckie Pajamas

September 02, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Blake Farenthold, the congressvarmint from Corpus Christie and Donald Trump devotee just lost his crazy mind.

Farenthold had a heartbeat of sanity sneak up on him.  Farenthold was the biggest supporter of building the wall against Mexico until a reporter asked him last week: “Should the president put aside his plans to build the wall and fund it for now?”

After stuttering around for a bit, Farenthold, imitating a sane person, replied.

“So should the president put aside his plans to build the wall and fund it for now?” she replied.

“Again, I think, we,” Farenthold stumbled before continuing definitively. “Yes, there is a simple answer to that question is yes.”

“There’s enough going on in Texas,” he added, “the contractors that might be building the wall would certainly be better served helping rebuild Houston.”

I was shocked to hear that, but I don’t think I am near as shocked as Farenthold. I imagine that Trump will try to fire him before tomorrow.

Thanks to Judy for the heads up.

It all depends on whose ox is being gored, doesn’t it, Pajama Boy?

  2. Believe me he will spin this a different way next week. Like” we could put all those who are now jobless to work on the wall”. Idiot!

When the cockwomble barking orange moron find out he will do another sophomoric imitation of the Red Queen screaming off with his head! Speaking of screaming, traitor trump screamed at Gen Kelly who said “he won’t tolerated another such tirade”. Well traitor trump, looks as if you’re running out of people to mistreat. BTW, Bannon is gone but not forgotten. Traitor trump still calls him. Trump’s version of comfort food?

    3
  4. Tilphousia, could you give us the reference for Kelly’s comments to Trump? I’d like to read that.

  5. What about the followup question?

Should we hold off deporting non-citizens who will be happy to assist in the cleanup effort after Harvey? Construction workers? Landscape workers? General cleanup? Or would we rather, like after Katrina, give bloated contracts to American companies who then subcontracted the work out to an imported cheap labor force from Brazil?

  6. AK Lynne—Here’s a link to an article about Trump and Kelly’s response to his tirade.

We need a Buffy to rescue us.

  8. i have no use for Farenthold whatsoever, but below is a link to the local newspaper e-edition, the Rockport Pilot (RKP is my 2nd home, and have spent a lot of time there, from when it was a small place).
Yeah, this area will not get the attention that Houston, etc., will from here on, but it is devastated.
A picture on the front page just clobbered me (topmost pic), it’s of the little volunteer-run Rockport Aquarium at Rockport Harbor. I used to take my kids there. The Aquarium is now just a pile of wreckage, likely that all the critters within either perished, or maybe, got free into Aransas Bay.
Y’all scroll through the other 5-6 pages of pics of area damage, it’s incredible.
(one ‘amusing’ pic is of a big Caddy sedan– gotta be (R’s) eh?– pulling up with an open trunk to get gubmint freebies loaded up by Nat’l Guardsmen, ahhhh, freedumb…)

A ‘for instance’: the pic of the famous landmark, the Fulton Mansion (just down the road from Charlotte Plummers restaurant, yum), looks like even the windows made it, but some roof damage. But look closely at the denuded palm and oak trees. Lots of other pics show many of the famous area live oak trees destroyed.
The RFISD school district announced the local schools ‘have been closed indefinitely’, and people should enroll their kids in other districts. And the teachers?

  9. Oh Sandridge, I’m so sorry about the destruction in Rockport. It looks really terrible. Let us know how we can help.

  10. Ask the kids if they would be sad toms as much as a year of school. I can guess what they will say! Just listened to a heart rending thing between a TV reporter on the ground in the Houston area talking with a homeowner who has been allowed back into her house along with husband and 4 kids. They actually have nothing. No food. They haven’t eaten since last night. No utilities. Harvey completely disabled their cars. They have cellphone for help and somebody took down all their data but couldn’t promise when anyone could get to them. She was trying very hard not to break down. I know the conditions in the shelters is not good, but if the authorities are simply going to let people back into damaged areas with no way out, no food, no water what the hell good is that? It sounds exactly like abandonment.

  11. Debbo,
    The newspaper had some recommendations.
Y’all remember that in addition to the big places there are hundreds of small towns (smaller than Rockport) and their rural surrounds that got hammered bad in the path of Harvey. I know many of them, have never heard their names mentioned once in the media. Yeah, their denizens vote the wrong way, but the misery index is astronomical now across a very large area.

Just think of all the small school districts that may not continue for a while (school here started in most the first or second week of August). My kids HS used to play Rockport and others there (CC).

The Aransas area is still mostly without electricity, water, sewer, comms, power co. estimates late next Friday for electricity restoral. Returning residents are discouraged until later.
There’s a curfew, and my marina access is restricted due to gas and fuel leaks (they say); there are a lot of destroyed boats and they mostly all have much larger fuel tanks than y’all’s vehicles…

It’s a mess. Hurricane Irma is going somewhere, there’s another system developing behind it, and 3 more months of the hurricane season…But ain’t no such thing as “global warming”.

Maggie, it really is that bad, and worse…
I consider myself very fortunate, not even a power hit with TS Harvey only 30 miles away at one point, less than 4″ of rain, some wind; Claudette was somewhat worse. A little different path and wham.

Waiting for the twisted preachers to spin all this, somehow.

  12. PS: This tropical wave puppy is following very closely in Harvey’s footsteps so far, it’s been slowly developing for a few days now (see the 5-day graphic link, scary, I followed Harvey from when it left the African coast as a tropical wave just like this).
Far too soon to call, but a 70% chance of TD formation by the middle of next week, and it’s trajectory is remarkably similar so far. Still only a quarter of the way over from Africa.

“1. A large but disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms located a few hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is associated with a tropical wave. Environmental conditions are expected to become more favorable for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form by the middle of next week while the disturbance moves westward at 10 to 15 mph over the tropical Atlantic.
    * Formation chance through 48 hours…low…near 0 percent.
    * Formation chance through 5 days…high…70 percent.”

  13. Aggieland Liz says:

Been watching that pre-depression spin up no one is talking about much yet. It is much farther south than Irma, and thus more likely to wind up in the Gulf.

So what’s gonna happen when Irma smacks GA n SC, 1/2 the Texas Coastal Prairie is reeling from Harvey’s tender ministrations, and Nameless comes roaring into the Gulf?

Anybody read Revelations lately? Don’t forget, we’ve got Itchy Little Fingers salivating over our nuclear arsenal. Mercy.

  14. Tilphousia says:

AK Lynne, I read the article 1 Sept 17 from The New York Times. I get the stories on a news app. Gen. Kelly looked angry as a bull seeing red. Traitor trump has more than met his match. One cannot bully a 4 star Marine General. Wish I were a little speck on the wall listening.
