Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.

shouldn’t be dispersing the mob – should be arresting them
3Another good result is that Biden will now have to get over his Pollyannaish views on bipartisanship
4Someone may have already mentioned this, but Josh Hawley basically gave the Trumpf mob a fist of encouragement just before the capital was overrun. He needs to be gone, resign, recalled, or worse.
5Trump has committed treason. Cruz has committed treason in breaching his oath of office to encourage this invasion. Every Republican in the Senate and House who backed the fake accusation of fraud is jointly and severally responsible for this and also guilty of sedition and probably treason if we look hard enough. How many had guns on them or in their offices? ARMED rebellion.
Get both Trump and Pence out of office via Article 25 or impeachment. Pelosi can then ask the D.C. National Guard, if it’s loyal, to take over security for Congress and the Supreme Court. She knows someone who will know whether it is or not. If it’s not loyal, as the legal successor she can than ask the Commandant of Marine Corps to mobilize the Marine Barracks (which is in D.C.) for that purpose.
Take all the contributing Republicans in Congress (any who were prepared to speak for overturning the election) into custody to be interrogated about their complicity in sedition and treason: no bail until that’s straightened out.
If indeed the Capitol Police are complicit in this, opening gates or doors or in any other way, then fire the damn lot of them on spec and replace them.
This IS treason, and we MUST respond with force.
6Chester @ 50:
7I actually flipped over to fox for a little while mid afternoonish. And whoever they had on the ground was was actually wondering why trump wasn’t doing anything about the violence. Wondering I tell you. Surprised even.
But admittedly I didn’t watch long, and that guy’s probably getting waterboarded right now.
BarbinDC and anyone else, please stay safe. Let us know if you can.
Who told the Capital Police to stand down for the day? Seriously. If they can explain how this much lumber passed by their ever “watchful” eyes and was erected, I’m all ears.
As Ms. Moon @ 6/56 states so succinctly: This IS treason

8Well, Trump finally got his parade and it was just as classy as he is. White trash to White Trash.
9Thanks Jane & PKM!
Just now on MSNBC , “How could one of the most secure places in the nation, the Capitol, be breached?”
Then they had some stuff & fluff BS but DIDN’T answer the question.
So how did this happen?????
10Holy Damned Shit! Sonuvabitch…
A CNN White House correspondent is reporting that at least some Congresscritters, leadership, are actively discussing a 25th Amendment resolution to our national instability.
There have been many mentions of the general possibility of a ’25th’ on various news shows this afternoon, something I’ve almost never heard discussed in the MSM until now.
It may be a whole different world by tomorrow noon.
“APRIL RYAN: “Congressional leaders are in the undisclosed location and focusing on the 25th Amendment to get @realDonaldTrump out of office!””

11This crap is going on in many state capitals today. In OR, some repugnantican politicians addressed Trumpf supporters calling for insurrection today at the state capital. And this happened last week as well when Trumpf supporters broke into the state legislature that had convened to address Covid assistance legislation. Trumpf has basically called for a civil war. It’s happening. There’s plenty of video of his own words to invoke the 25th amendment tonight.
12Llex @ 9:
13By design. The question is who was in on it.
If you needed more crazy repugnantican bullshit- here ya go from you guessed it- Ken paxton.

14Steve: And a republican senator is shocked, shocked she says, at the idea that Trumpers would do this. Yup, it’s gotta be a false flag operation by Antifa:
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/emaoconnor/republican-evacuated-capitol-trump-supporters-violent
In good-ish news, apparently the National Association of Manufacturers wants to 25 Trump now:

15Jane & PKM: Whoever told the Capitol Police to “stand down” is also a traitor and should be arrested and held without bail. Washington airports should be closed, trains and buses held, and all outgoing traffic stopped and those holding the groups of right-wing terrorists should be confiscated and their drivers and passengers arrested and also held without bail.
They’re serious, and so am I. If I were JCS or any local military commander part of whose tasking included security in the D.C. area (anti-terrorism, for instance), I would execute the highest-level tactical moves available. That includes sending AWACS to circle up top and do electronic surveillance and trouble-spotting, hardened helicopters for low-altitude surveillance, and the jet fighters to protect the AWACS from some damn idiot’s attempt to shoot one down.
Tactically, it’s straight up urban warfare, with the addition of wanting to protect some of Washington’s architecture. Don’t think those Confederate loving scum won’t go attack the Lincoln Memorial…they hate Lincoln. Form a perimeter, hold the perimeter, protect vulnerable civilian populations as you can (Black neighborhoods in particular), close off escape routes (bridges, overpasses, etc.) and use crowd control methods first to reduce collateral damage…but do include “shoot back” in rules of engagement from the get-go.
Strategically, look at the traitors’ support systems away from D.C. Taking a crowd of X thousand there with weapons and ammunition takes a lot of money. We *should* already know who’s financing the Proud Boys, American Nazis, and KKK. If we do, their backers should get unfriendly visits from FBI and ATF agents across the country. No more Mr. Nice Guys because they’re white men with large estates–roll up to their houses, businesses, ranches, country estates, private airfields, in armored vehicles with the right experienced teams and weapons. The top guys aren’t fighters (except Eric Prince…anyone want to guess whether or not the bad guys have had his advice in this assault? And some boots on the ground help?)
They wanted a civil war, many of them said. Then they get treated like enemies from the start.
16lex @9 “So how did this happen?????” We know the answer(s), but after 4 years of conspiracy theory and bluster, we’re the adults in the room, so we want due process for those involved.
Hello Merrick Garland! Have you noticed President-elect Biden just offered you a hot spot? I hope you accept. A return to the rule of law and due process needs you. Level, calm, no nonsense.
1725th—
An interesting twist may be that of the 15 Cabinet heads required to assent to the removal of the President, iirc, some of them are of “acting” status, and could possibly not be required or allowed to participate. Thereby simplifying the process.
“Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution…
Section 4: Declaration by vice president and principal officers
Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department[note 1] or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.[6]
Section 4 addresses the case of an incapacitated president who is unable or unwilling to execute the voluntary declaration contemplated in Section 3; it is the amendment’s only section that has never been invoked. It allows the vice president, together with a “majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide”, to declare the president “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” in a written declaration. The transfer of authority to the vice president is immediate, and (as with Section 3) the vice president becomes acting president – not president – while the president remains in office, albeit divested of all authority.[7]
The “principal officers of the executive departments” are the fifteen Cabinet members enumerated in the United States Code at 5 U.S.C 101:[8][9][10]”
18Why, on earth, did law enforcement not anticipate this would happen and plan accordingly? Is anyone truly surprised? I can’t believe they’re not putting up concrete barricades RIGHT NOW with heavy machinery. The goons are napping at the Marriott Capitol Hill right now and will be back for round 2.
19Ms. Moon @15, we have the resources to reconstruct this insurrection. Raw data collection from cell phones. Street corner cameras. We have that. What we don’t have is a DOJ until 1/20/2021.
As for those terrorists thinking the fu king moron can pardon them in the next two weeks. Wrong. They also committed crimes in Mayor Bowser’s town, across state lines, etc.
Republicons say they want decency? Then they can begin with cooperating with investigations. Ready Mitch?
20I’m not big on conspiracy theories or secret handshakes, but does anyone know if the hand movements by the man on the left behind McConnell mean anything? He does seem to start when the camera is switched to McConnell. In the video at this link:
https://www.npr.org/sections/congress-electoral-college-tally-live-updates/2021/01/06/954018944/mcconnell-condemns-republican-objections-to-electoral-college-results
21Sandridge @17, To clarify:
To invoke the 25th, all that is needed is for Vice President Pence and a “majority” of Cabinet heads to adjudge that Trump “is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office”. And present a written declaration thereof to the Leader of each House of Congress.
This simple two step action –immediately– removes the sitting President and makes the VP acting President for a minimum of four days, which can easily be extended for twenty one more days; which becomes moot in less than 1 week, 6 days, 15 hours, 22 minutes, 8 seconds anyway.
This could all be done before high noon tomorrow.
What are you waiting for, Mikey? Your nation awaits.
.

Sandridge @22, Moscow Mitch declared his love for democracy at the session reopening tonight. Trust him to still love us in the morning?
As for the Vice Poodle putting on his big boy pants, where’s Mother?
23Jane & PKM @23,
I looked at the fifteen member Cabinet list, nominally requiring a majority of them [8/15], plus the Vice Poodle to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Mango Mussolini. Nine people to change history [there is one woman in the bunch, Cruella deVille].
But, three of them have “acting” status [Defense, AG, HomeSec].
IMO, an “acting” Cabinet head should be barred from the 25th Amendment process, as they weren’t confirmed by the Senate. Therefore, as the Founders surely intended [and the authors of the 1967 25th], would have no influence on such a weighty matter as removing a President from office.
So, that leaves a majority of twelve [7/12], just seven plus the VP. Eight people to rid us of Putin’s lunatic in the WH.
Will they do it? I’d go with a 50-50 chance, except I looked at all their names…
Secretary of State
24Secretary of the Treasury
Secretary of Defense
Attorney General
Secretary of the Interior
Secretary of Agriculture
Secretary of Commerce
Secretary of Labor
Secretary of Health and Human Services
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
Secretary of Transportation
Secretary of Energy
Secretary of Education
Secretary of Veterans Affairs
Secretary of Homeland Security
Sandridge @24/74,
25Oooops.
There are two Cabinet heads who are women [iirc, I ain’t going through that list again].
Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine Chiao is SecTran.
Sandridge, there is a logical reason you missed Ms. Chao wife of Moscow Mitch. Now that there’s a serious call to 25 the 45, there’s a well substantiated rumor that Ms. Chao intends to
26flee the scene of the crimeuh, resign. Don’t know who has Mitch’s balls, but apparently it isn’t Elaine.Lex #10: heard it explained that the Capitol Building was meant to be open to the public to meet their representatives. There are lots of entrances. Though I believe in general they are locked. When we visited in 2010 we had to go in one entrance and thru a metal detector. In order to sit in the Senate gallery, you had to give up your phone & other stuff (they have people to check it). No talking, clapping, booing, etc. just sit quietly. I did whisper to some people I met (small world story, they were from VA and related to people I knew here in OR). Senator Enzi (R-WY) lied that the ACA would mandate the hiring of additional 70K IRS agents (false RW talking point). I wanted to yell “You lie!” but didn’t want to get kicked out. Heard my Senator Merkley argue his amendment on support for small banks, which passed. Saw him later and said hi. Nicest guy in the world, just so you know. A regular guy who works on his house when he has time, wife is an RN. But I digress. More security was needed. I think the mayor wanted more but she’s not in charge of the DC Natl Guard, the president is. VA gov sent some guardsmen and MD gov sent some LE, but it was far too late except for cleaning the scum outta there.
27I wanted to share this tweet from Kaitlan Collins of CNN:
Kaitlan Collins
28@kaitlancollins
White House officials were shaken by Trump’s reaction to a mob of his supporters descending on the Capitol today. He was described to me as borderline enthusiastic because it meant the certification was being derailed. It has genuinely freaked people out.

Hannah @10, Tanks for info and cool story but you should have thrown your shoe at Senator Enzi!
Capitol Police info …
Round up the usual suspects.
“It prompted many to ask where the National Guard was. Earlier this week, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser requested that the Guard be called in as part of the city’s added security for the event. There were conflicting reports on whether Trump ignored it or denied it, but her request got no response. After the rioters breached the Capitol building while Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker Nancy Pelosi were inside, both demanded the Guard be called in.”

29We just witnessed a disturbing and real textbook example of White Entitlement.
“(CNN) As hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol, breaking windows and wreaking havoc, politicians and activists were among the many who drew comparisons between the police response on Wednesday to that of last year’s Black Lives Matter protests.”
30“When Black people protest for our lives, we are all too often met by National Guard troops or police equipped with assault rifles, shields, tear gas and battle helmets,” the group said in a statement. “Make no mistake, if the protesters were Black, we would have been tear gassed, battered, and perhaps shot.”
Here’s a look at the protests from last year, compared to those on Wednesday.
