Holy Crap: The Gays Are Coming! The Gays Are Coming!

April 02, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Politician / Preacher / Diet Guru / TeeVee Salesman / Cinnamon Fan Mike Huckabee is so riled up that he has little spittle things forming at the edge of his mouth.  It’s a frightening thing to behold.

Screen Shot 2015-04-02 at 4.40.28 PMFormer Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said on Wednesday that gay-rights activists wouldn’t be satisfied until there are no more churches or Christians in America.

“It won’t stop until there are no more churches, until there are no more people who are spreading the Gospel,” Huckabee said on a right-wing radio program while discussing the backlash against anti-gay religious-freedom legislation in Arkansas and Indiana.

Personally, I think the gays had a wedding with pizza and didn’t invite Mike.

Be social and share!

  1. I’m not gay, and I am okay with your churches, although I think they should pay taxes like everybody else, but no more “spreading the gospel” is fine with me. My religion is none of your business and I’m never going to believe in yours, so shut the heck up already.

  2. Angelo Frank says:

Is Huckleberry lamenting that Christians are in the minority to the gay population in the United States? Now that’s a real news flash.

    2
  3. Larry from Colorado says:

Maybe he ought to come to my church which is a “Reconciling Congregation” and has gays in lots of positions throughout the church!

  4. 1toughlady says:

Mike needs to shut up and eat a big, gay pizza. It’ll be good for him, I promise.

    4
  5. The hashtag #ThingsJesusNeverSaid was trending on Twitter today. I think we can add anything Mike Huckabooboo has ever said about religion to that hashtag.

  6. Glen Maxey says:

News flash! Most gays are Christians.
They just are the Jesus Christ kinda Christians and not the hating kinds of Christians.

    6
  7. It won’t stop until there are no more stupid religious bigots like Mike Huckabee spreading the gospel of hate and ignorance.

Countrymusic is freaking out over Little Big Town’s latest single Girl Crush and refuse to play it because they claim it is about lesbianism. Here it is with lyrics. If this is about lesbians, then I guess I am one.

  9. Huckabee looks like he’s been hitting the grits and gravy a little too hard again.

  10. 1smartcanerican says:

Obviously, many in country music have actually listened to the lyrics or they would understand that it is a lament over “the other woman”! I notice that Kelly Clarkson has already covered it, so it must only be in the deep south that it is not being played. It is actually a very sad song.

    10
  11. 1smartcanerican says:

Oops – should say that many in country music have NOT actually listened….

  12. “Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said on Wednesday that gay-rights activists wouldn’t be satisfied until there are no more churches or Christians in America.”

Considering that a lot of Christians won’t be satisfied until there are no more gay people, that seems fair to me.

    12
  13. Henry, I’d be okay with “spreading the gospel” if what they were spreading were the actual gospel instead of cow patties.

    13
  14. I’m in! No more Religious Right churches or RR Christians in America spreading HATE would be a good thing.

    14
  15. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

    What a whiner!
No one is threatening his right to worship the invisible friend of his choice. All I want is for him to stop telling me what he thinks his invisible friend says I should do.

    15
  16. Annabelle Lee says:

And then he accuses others of manufacturing crises. Hypocrisy, thy name is Huckabee.

    16
  17. They said it about Jefferson too– that if he was elected he’d close all the churches and burn all the Bibles.

Huckabee is deeply into the Kristian Martyr Complex, and thinks They’re all out to Get Him. Jesus said his followers would have to suffer, and some of them are determined to sound like they’re suffering, no matter how fat and rich they are and how many houses and TV shows they have.

I’d like to see him and everyone like him made to sit down and READ the Bible. They’d be real surprised.

    17
  18. Lisbeth says:

Great post I read on a Facebook thread … Mike Huckabee thinks about gay sex more than gays do. Yep. True that.

    18
  19. I would like to formally invite Governor Huckabee to my little gay neighborhood here in Houston. Every Sunday, the dozens of churches around here – of a wide variety of denominations and all of which have predominantly gay families as parishioners – are filled to capacity.

As a minister, he really ought to know that Christian and gay are not mutually exclusive categories.

I know the governor believes that far right Christians have the moral high ground in this debate, but gay people aren’t the ones trying to treat some people as second citizens.

    19
  20. Wa Skeptic says:

…and it’s going to be FABulous!

    20
  21. I think it was Adlai Stevenson who said “When an ass looks into the Bible, an apostle is less likely to look out.”

Well, whoever said it, well said and nuff said!

    21
  22. daChipster says:

I don’t know what possessed me, but commuting back and forth yesterday, I listened to Christian radio. On the way in in the morning I heard some very nice preaching about living a good life because yadda yadda yadda.

On the way back, however, the afternoon drive time preacher skipped all around the New Testament, cherry-picking verses – mostly from Paul – to buttress his theme that every other religion in the world is wrong, none of which he mentioned by name, but within his screed a discerning ear could detect flings at Islam, Judaism and Catholicism.

So, basically, the fictitious religion-killing gays differ from Huckwad very little: they want to get rid of every religion, and he also wants to get rid of every religion, but his.

    22
  23. coozledad says:

Yeah, right. The gays want to destroy the only guaranteed pageant-a-week institution that hires music directors straight out of undergrad.
It’s like saying the Teamsters won’t be happy until everyone is riding a ten speed.

    23
  24. e platypus onion says:

And Huckawad, who never has anything interesting or true,to say is given a national forum because……?

    24
  25. Mark Schlemmer says:

Come on now people, we don’t want to be too hard on The Huckster because we want him in the race right up to the final bell. I think he is a natural VP candidate for Teddy, or even as
a VP for Christie (I know, a looooong shot) as a ticket balancer.
Anyway, keep all this truth on the down low . . . .

    25
  26. Ticket balancer? Whoever they put on is going to be unbalanced by definition. I keep hoping they’ll be so unbalanced they’ll fall off the right side of the flat earth, and they seem to get closer all the time.

    26
  27. I can’t cite statistics, but aren’t a whole lot of gays in this country also Christians?

I think Huckabee has his own personal definition of Christianity and it centers around himself.

    27
  28. e platypus onion says:

No problems,Rhea. They are so slimy they’ll slide right under to the other side and be upside down and still wrong. Outa sight, outa mind hopefully.

    28
  29. “It won’t stop until there are no more churches, until there are no more people who are spreading the Gospel”

Wow! “The Gays” sound super organized. If they are capable of toppling the world’s largest religion, maybe afterward we should ask them to bring about world peace, since that religion couldn’t manage it over the last 2000 years.

Huckabee and friends would probably be against it though, the whole lamb lying down with a lion situation. They’d claim it just goes against nature.

    29
  30. Jackass. Being gay and/or supporting rights for our gay friends and being Christian are not mutually exclusive. In fact the Huckster doesn’t seem to remember that Jesus was all about INCLUSIVITY. So who’s the real Christian, Mike?

From a (straight) liberal Democrat and Christian,
    Hannah

    30
  31. Corinne Sabo says:

I don’t know anyone who would have pizza at a wedding.

    31
  32. maryelle says:

Oh, ole Huckabuck must be trying to sell another book or something. He knows he doesn’t have a chance in hell of being elected president. His over-emotional tirade and attempts to ramp up anti-gay sentiment are his go to moves. After those, he’s got nuttin’.

    32
  33. #ThingsJesusNeverSaid is hilarious! The Huckster needs a little mental health help for his paranoia. Well actually, he needs a lot of intense psychotherapy for his seriously delusional and psychotic mental state.

Here’s a great opportunity for capitalist beauty salon regulars. Let’s start a mental health treatment franchise business that’s specifically designed for paranoid, delusional religious types. We’ll be rich! Rich I say! Of course becoming shamefully wealthy will prove that god, some god or other, loves us.

    33
  34. AliceBeth says:

Paranoia is treatable. I bet it is covered by ACA.

    34
  35. e platypus onion says:

Can wingnuts be sued and forced to have pizza catered to their weddings? Afterall is said and done,if they don’t cater pizza the terrorists win and they are discriminating against christian pizza parlors.
