Holy Crap!
Y’all, I just heard the tape of Trump saying to get rid of Marie Yovanovitch.
Get rid of her!” a voice appearing to belong to Trump says on the recording, according to ABC News, which on Friday first reported its existence.“Get her out tomorrow. I don’t care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. OK? Do it.”
He did not say fire her .
He said “take her out”.
He did say he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and people would still vote for him.
1I believe he could/ would do something like “take out” the Ambassador.
God help us all.
“Take her out.”
“… vote against the president and your head will be on a pike…” (CBS News report)
Our first medieval mobster President.
2He admires Putin. He admires Kim Jong Un. He admires the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. He wants that level of power.
Expect more.
3Trump sounds like a two-bit mob boss, because he is–at least a wanna-be. He grew up around them, in the sleazy, mob-infested real estate racket in New York city, under his father’s tutelage.
4Speaking of men threatening women in the administration, Mike Pompeo went after NPR’s Mary Louise Kelly today as she interviewed him. He cursed, he shouted, he called for his handlers to bring him an unmarked map, then condescendingly insisted she point out Ukraine.
She pointed to Ukraine.
NPR’s official report of the incident is measured, but Ari Shapiro provides some details on Twitter:

If he wanted her fired he could have fired her. So on its face that did not mean to fire her. It meant either make her look bad so he could justify firing her, or actually take her out in the meaning that this sounds like.
6How about telling the Senators their heads woudl be on a pike if they voted to impeach?
7I have never heard “take her/him out” used as a directive to fire someone.
That orange traitor would have been fine if he had heard that she was “tragically hit by a car” the next day.
81] He threw this tantrum because Lev told him she was bad-mouthing him [which Lev now admits was untrue.]
2] He could have simply said, “Difference of opinion,” or any other excuse he wanted to offer and replaced her. But he’s a wimp, he couldn’t do it, so he made big, bad, mob-boss-type threats instead.
3] It took a year to get her out of Ukraine because his minions nodded and said, “Yes sir,” and did nothing. Because they knew they could. THAT’S how much power he has in his own White House.
4] This is the person [and I use the term loosely] whom the Senate is refusing to remove.
9Rick @ 5:
10I’m betting dollars to doughnuts that, if someone asked Pompeo to point to Ukraine, he couldn’t do it.
Somehow, some way the R Senators have to hear this. I’m willing to bet pocket lint that it will make some of them physically ill. Especially if they fully realize that this has been heard by the entire country. They know, of course, they can abstain from voting. Hmmm. If enough R’s do that to compensate of rate lack of D Senators, well . . .
11At first, my thoughts were “typical mob boss” statement. Surprised she is still alive. But then I remembered Cadet Bone Spurs doesn’t have the ‘nads” to face to face fire anyone. He is such a coward. Getting someone else to do his dirty work. This is the entire basis of his term – causing chaos and distention then hiding behind someone else. Now the Republican Senators – they are all guilty of treason.
12Now if he had said that about Moscow Mitch……
13A mob boss dumb enough to let one of his “associates” bring a cell phone to dinner would not be boss for long. Therefore COMPLETE EXONERATION!! Or something.
14I don’t understand why anyone is saying that “take her out” meant to fire her. If Trump wanted to fire Yovanovitch, he would tell Pompeo to do it. Here, he’s talking to Giuliani’s shady friends who have already told him they have Yovanovitch under surveillance. This is Trump ordering a hit, not asking for her to be fired.
