Ya think we’ve had enough violence today?
Is it just my overflow of cynicism that suspects Russia had something to do with the death of their own ambassador in order to continue the destabilization of Turkey? I mean, they’d like nothing better than to test NATO in Turkey. Yeah, it’s probably just me.

A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

I saw an article about Russian agents killing former Chechen rebels… perhaps a revenge motive?
1Whaaaa…? An assassination in the Balkans to touch off a lil’ ol’ global dust-up? Unpresidented (I know, I know, that’s why I so cleverly erred)!
2I would be far more suspicious of Erdogan or someone in his government, trying to send a message to the Russians to lay off the parts of Syria that he wants to occupy and annex. Or he could be saying to Putin, cooperate with us – or else.
I can’t imagine a reason why the Russians would want to kill their own ambassador, but I can certainly see why Erdogan would want to do it.
Ditto for the Iranians/Hezbollah, who are de-facto allied with the Russians.
Certainly not the Assad regime, who desperately needs the Russians’ help.
ISIS is totally dependent on Erdogan’s family to market their stolen oil (and the Israelis to buy it), so any terrorist acts carried out on Turkish soil by them will certainly have Erdogan’s prior knowledge and consent.
That leaves Erdogan, and I can see plenty of reasons why he would do this.

4Hmmm. Been trying to keep up with Erdogan via MSM but apparently I have missed something as to the evaluation of his badness. He wouldn’t be the first kingpin in that part of the world to pull something like this. There are centuries of precedent before him.

10It wouldn’t surprise me if Pukin had a hand in it. Remember the apartment building bombings in Russia not long after Pukin first took office? Yeah. Pukin and his old KGB buddies pulled it off. Terrified people are more likely to grant a strong man more power. Remember 9/11 and the Darth Cheney regime? Yeah, just like that. I believe 9/11 was a real terrorist attack, but Darth and the gang knew how to take advantage of it.
Last week National Memo and Wapo had stories about this. National Memo expects some kind of attack here within the first 100 days or soon thereafter. An “attack,” right? Right.
