Holding the Line on Holding the Line

It seems that TFG’s former White House Physician, Captain Ronny Jackson (Ret.), wrote a book. I had no idea that he could write a book, but then, maybe he can’t.

I mean, anyone could write a book. I could write a book. I just don’t think anyone would buy it. And that’s what I mean about being able to write a book. One of the requirements is that someone else reads the book, and that means that they have bought the book.

People don’t buy Ronny’s book.

How do I know this? This is Captain Ron’s annual FEC income report. It lists all of his sources of income, alphabetically by asset.

Look between NVIDIA and Roth. There is nothing listed there that even approximates “Post Hill Press”. That’s the poor and unfortunate publisher of Ronny’s book Holding the Line. Alas, Ronny has listed no royalties received from his publisher.

Small wonder. When you look online for that title, you get an ad for Thriftbooks.com and a list price of $4.99 (a savings of $23.01 off the list price).

Do you know what you get as well? Every other book entitled “Holding the Line”.

I guess in the book-writing world, there is a lot of line holding.

  1. A real winner, the Dr. Jackson books are barely cooled down just off the presses, and they’re being remaindered already.
DiJioT and his ‘only the best’ inner circle of losers going for broke again.

Landslide Kamala and Tim Walz are going to bury these slimy bastards twelve feet deep so’es they’ll never see the light of day again.

I’ve written five and probably sold a combined 300 copies. Publishing is a lot easier these days with self-publishing. When you pitch a title to a publisher you submit a proposal that includes any competition you might have. You’d assume several other titles with the same name would qualify. Maybe if he had penned it as Ronnie Johnson then….

He must be making TX district 13 proud. Demoted in his military rank for numerous reasons (candy man for one), no accomplishments in congress, and a book no one wants. How did he get elected? Oh, that’s right, it’s Texas (no offense to Texas salon patrons).
What did Obama see in him anyway?

Um . . . shouldn’t that title be “Shooting Up the Line”?

He may have self-published and has a stack in his garage.

  6. Reminds me of the crappy book written by our former congress critter Tom DeLay…he couldn’t even give them away.

  7. Lifting To New Heights (As I Weighed and Measured President Trump On The Scale) might have been a better title.

  8. Apparently Jackson didn’t get in on the right-wing grift machine that loves to buy up these “books” in order to get them on the best sellers’ lists.

Oh hell, Ronny didn’t write a book. Some other guy wrote it and expected to get a percentage of the proceeds. How this works – as seen time and time again – is that congressvarmints write a book, then buy thousands of copies themselves to use as gifts to contributors. This allows them to pay for the purchase of these books through their campaign donations and then personally benefit from the large sale of the books they bought. It’s money washing The DeeCee way.
