Hold On Ready, Set, Go!

Okay, I did that in record time.  It’s ready to go.  Just click right here to get started.

Several of you have asked me about where to donate money to help in Georgia so that we can retire Mitch McConnell.

Glen and I are putting together a group of ten college students to send to Georgia on December 26 through the election to work on getting out the vote.

Glen has talked to the Georgia Democratic Party and his friends on the DNC from Georgia and they are thrilled to get the young people who are willing to work.  These are kids that either Glen or I know, who are willing to work, stay sober, and follow directions.

We will pay expenses.  With housing, meals, gas money, and N95 masks we figure it will come to about $1,000 a kid.

Glen is considering going along to be house momma and getting a large AirB&B.  Kids can sleep on couches – they do not care. We are also considering having them do a YouTube every day and putting it online for donors to see what they are getting for their money.

I will have the ACT BLUE account ready by tomorrow.  So, please hang with me.

Is there a way to get you money *other* than ActBlue? I really don’t like giving them my information.

Yes. You can send me a check made out to Juanita Jean PAC – Email me at the Tell Juanita link at the top of the page. I will send you my address.

  3. Jane & PKM says:

Fantastic idea. Thank you and Mr. Maxey for finding these students and everything you do to make these events happen. Their willingness to do the hard work, and over the holidays is a bushel of compliments to them and their parents. Kudos!

The least we can do is find some money beyond what Stacie, Jon and Raphael have collected to support those students, too.

  4. Larry from Colorado says:

I’ve already sent 3 donations, but Act Blue keeps splitting them.
I will donate to this. I knocked doors for Obama twice. Maybe it helped?

  5. @Larry from Colorado:

    It sure didn’t hurt!

  6. Harry Eagar says:

Does this count against the $2800 limit per campaign committee or is this like me trying to be Sheldon Adelson?

I’m almost maxed out on gifts to the Ossoff and Warnock committees.

  7. Terence Weldon says:

    Great stuff!

Good to see money going direct to boots on the ground, not just into yet more ads.

Wish I could do something myself – but not American, in UK, not USA, so I have to content myself with being a web warrior, cheering the troops and sharing links, when I can.

    Keep up the good work.

No, Harry, it does not go against maxed-out accounts. I am a PAC so you can be a big spender!

  9. Larry from Colorado, you have to read every word on those contribution pages. I have found more than once that I was surprised by my donation not going one hundred percent to the person I wanted to send it to. I have reached the point where I refuse to give Act Blue any tips because of that, and I told them so. They need to make it more obvious where the money is going.

  10. Terry from Peculiar MO says:

I”M IN… and I like ActBlue, nice to see in one place where all my money went…yikes

  11. Harry Eagar says:

AK Lynne @9. My thoughts, too. I prefer to send checks so that 3-5% does not go to the credit card company.

  12. Beau of the Fifth Column – Rule 303 – “If you have the means at hand, you have the responsibility to act”
Not much but the means were at hand.

  13. You can also contribute to ACT Blue for Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. Also Stacy Abram’s organization FAIR FIGHT. She’s very involved in getting out the DEM vote!

    13
  14. donated. will also donate to Georgia Project.
    Juanita,
