Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
1And a big thanks to Juanita and all for keeping this blog going.
Diane
Amen!
2Gobble gobble gobble…
3The WMDBS Family is one I’d love to have around my table. It’s just me and the mister this year, nursing our 13 year old husky back to health following 3 tooth extractions (ouch). I will cook a turkey, and micro sized portions of sides, get out the good china, and open a bottle of local bubbles, because I am grateful for all of you. Especially for Juanita Jean Herownself.
4Same here, Fran! Thanks especially to you and Half Empty for contributing regularly and very well I might add!
5Hope your pooch feels better soon. They are family, too.
Happy Thanksgiving all.
A safe and blessed Thanksgiving to all that bless this community with their honest and caring thoughts.
6Well said to all above. And ferdamnsure thanks to everyone involved in keeping this establishment running as a place for us. Here’s to hoping new patrons will join us.
7Happy Thanksgiving to JJ, Half Empty, Fran, and everybody else who’s company makes the Salon a place we all keep coming back to.
So much to be thankful for here at Juanita Jean’s!
8Actually, I was hoping to join Uncle John’s band.
9Bah! Humbug!
… oh wait, wrong holiday. Okay, in spite of my routine grumpy disposition, have a good Thanksgiving everybody.
10Amen.
11Thankful for all y’all. Keeps me to be semi-sane.
All the above and special thanks for the snow in NW ioway.
12The best for all of you! Juanita Jean is better than an over priced shrink any day of the week!
13I grateful for this salon and all its patrons. Especially thank you, JJ. Hope you are doing better.
14Happy Day After Thanksgiving, when stomachs are still stuffed with turkey, and refrigerators and freezers with leftovers!
Best wishes to Ms. Bankston, and all the people who keep Juanita Jean’s shop running. I’m grateful for good company, cogent commentary, and good sense in what are shaping up to be very difficult times.
