Here’s the Deal
Okay, I know I promised that all of you who donated to the Texas Ballot by Mail program that I would send you an email thanking you.
Well, my Momma raised me better than that and Lord knows she reminded me of it, too. All of you got thank you notes. And there’s a lot of you. Momma is horrified but I used mail labels on the envelopes. However, the notes are handwritten.
I mailed them as I finished writing them and I’m still working at it so if you haven’t gotten your note yet, just hold on. It’s coming.
All totaled there was about 125 of you. I am honored to call you friend.
We raised enough to cover more counties than ever before. With those who sent checks, you guys raised about $7,500 to insure that seniors in Texas get ballot by mail applications That’s good for the entire year.
Thank you again.
Pffft! I loved the hand-written thank you note. The note card is lovely and bonus it is from a wonderful charity.
I appreciate your hard work and the time you took to write the note.
Sorry Mama the labels are OK.
1I was staggered that you sent hand written notes. Give Momma a hug and Glen too. You yourself get a crystal chandelier.
2I made an Indian dish last night out of my Madhur Jaffrey cookbook (one of the few cookbooks I kept!). What fell out as I searched for my recipe? A handwritten thank you from Juanita Jean Herownself after the WMDBS request for help for the Bastrop fire victims. Juanita Jean, her staff, and all the customers of the Beauty Salon are fine examples of real AMERICANS!
3Your mama brought you up right JJ! However, the mailing labels are totally fine and the handwritten notes are spectacular. I don’t see many handwritten thank you notes any longer, so kudos to you for doing this.
4The handwritten note made my day! My Mom, a 4th generation Texan who passed away in August, taught us to write thank you notes and vote for Democrats. She would be proud and I am grateful for all you do in our fight to turn Texas blue.
5You made a big impression on somebody at my house this morning.
6Thank you for the note! Since you wrote 125 of them, I hope your hand is okay.
7I didn’t even notice the envelope. I threw it away and saved the card.
You’re welcome.
8Because you (and Glen) are so classy, refer above to 125 note cards, we all know that when you say “Texas Dems need you to help out,” we trust that it is so!
9Sending that note was a fine gracious gesture and I appreciated my note very much.
10I was incredibly touched by the hand-written note. My daughter
noticed and said, “She must have been raised by a mother like you.”
Thanks from Los Angeles.
11I received my note yesterday. As someone who always insisted that my children send hand-written thank you notes, I think it was a gracious thing to do. The Picasso was a nice touch, too.
12Juanita Jean, I thought I sent a donation for this. I know I meant to, but I don’t see it right now. Could you check and let me know? I will if I haven’t.
13AKLynne, email me. We’ll figure it out.
14Thanks for the note. Have a good turkey day
15My thank you note arrived today. You (and Glen) are entirely welcome. I hope every senior who receives an application votes and turns Texas blue. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
16Love my note;I have waved it in many faces. And whenever we can make a difference again, let us know.
