Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
A dandy effort.
1Much appreciated, and with a few surprises.
2My question, since this came out about a week ago, is what’s behind CNN?
3Politico does not skew liberal, The WSJ is not neutral – they both skew “conservative.” Given what we know of the Enquirer calling Trump etal for approval it can hardly be deemed neutral. And I’m with Teh Greg, what’s with CNN?
I’m picky but I’m also a paid subscriber to multiple news sources that appear in this chart so there’s that.
4This chart tells me all I need to know about the tools who nipped it off.
5One more observation, The Intercept isn’t liberal. Just do a deep dive on Glenn Greenwald’s backwards views on immigration & check out his history of representing white supremacists in private practice. The guy is ideologically aligned with Putin which is why he’s in Russia hanging out with his buddy Snowden as I write this (check out his Instagram account), and why he frequents Fox News and RT. He’s no liberal and neither is the Intercept.
6Wow, there are numerous inaccuracies on this chart. Just one example? My mother was a Christian Scientist, she subscribed to the Monitor all her life, as a youngster I read it (our only daily newspaper). Have you actually SEEN it lately????? It’s turned into a right-wing Christian extremist worthless POS. Also, Politico certainly does NOT lean left, it has been center-right for years, and its top honchos left to start up Axios, it’s even further to the right. The WSJ news reporting tends to be center-right, its editorial policies are farther right than Attila the Hun. MSNBC has several programs that lean left, but those are certainly balanced out with Squint and the Meat Puppet and Nicole Wallace, each of whom are conservatives; Chuck Todd’s certainly no liberal. As noted previously, The National Enquirer is now openly and hard-core Trumpist and certainly qualifies as right-wing as a result.
7Craig in MO: perhaps the National Enquirer should be re classified, but you also need to pay particular attention to where it falls on the list: rock bottom. Several sources live there and should be used only to line the birdcage. I have been referring to this chart for a long time, since my oldest son pointed out my re posts were not reliable. I still sometime wander into the woods a bit, but have refined my tendency to “click”. I avoid obvious editorializing when the head line has words like “demolished”, “destroyed”, “humiliated”, etc, unless it is actually describing a hurricane or earthquake. Another clue is the header that ends in …
