Hello, Arizona

October 28, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

In Arizona, unlike Texas, you register to vote by party.  That’s the primary you vote in.

So, if you registered as an independent, like most Tea Partiers do, you cannot vote in the Republican primary.

Well, the rightwing Republican Arizona GOP is doing a heads-up.  They sent postcards to the people registered as independents.  And through the miracle of modern big time journalism, we just happen to have a copy.

Click the little one to get the big one.

So brothers and sister, you can count on the Republican primary on March 22 in Arizona to be a genuine DoofusFest Wackopolooza!

Thanks to Bunny for the heads up and all the trouble she went to to get these to me a form you can see.

Be social and share!

  1. Are you sure we don’t register the same way? Did something change since I was last awake?

  2. Send in the clowns. Oh! Wait! They are here.

  3. Is there any chance the Republican primary in Arizona wasn’t going to be a genuine DoofusFest Wackopolooza?

Could be another step will be to send postcards to all the registered Dems to say that, because of expected long line to vote in November 2016, GOPs will vote on Tuesday and Dems will vote on Wednesday. Yep, that’s been tried.

  4. Paul, I still regret not buying a T-shirt with a drawing of the US Capitol that said, “Send in the clowns– don’t bother, they’re here.” But that was in the 1980s and it seemed to me that another large white building in DC would have been more apt at the time.

One year after I voted, I got back in the car and turned on the radio and heard….

  5. Me and my Democratic “buds” will be sitting in our recliners on election day, having voted already. We are all members of the Permanent Early Ballot List. Even if we have moved recently, we are allowed by law to change our address on driver’s licenses, State photo ID’s and voter registration on-line on one page. We also re-district by non-partisan commission. Imagine how that totally fries the Tea Party!

This notice does take the assumption that teabaggers can read.

  7. Ain’t this kinda something the bunco squad should see?

  8. It occurs to me to wonder if the GOP really *wants* people who’ve registered as Independents to go back and vote Republican. For whom are they likely to vote? (“Dang, I was looking for somebody sane, but I just can’t seem to….”)

  9. Thank you Republicans. Your link has just helped me verify that I am a duly registered voter in Maricopa County and am thankfully NOT registered as a Republican. And I will not only vote against Republicans, but will take especially great pleasure in voting against Maricopa County Sheriff and racial-profiler-in-chief, Joe Arpaio.

  10. Way back in the 2008 Democratic primary, lots of Repugs registered as Democrats to vote for Obama, confident that if he won the nomination, he could NEVER be elected. Then they re-registered as Repugs for the general election. I had an influential Republican tell me about this, not knowing that I was a tree hugger. Well that strategy worked well, didn’t it?
They completely underestimated the ability of Americans to vote for the best candidate. Twice! And the beat goes on.

Good grief. Don’t they have any Democrats in Arizona? They used to.
