Last night our local Republican party here in Fort Bend met to elect a new leader when their old one up and suddenly resigned a couple weeks ago.  Very sneakily, which is a requirement for Republican officeholders, he named who he wanted to be his successor and called for a vote quickly before his opponents could organize.

So, about 70 Republican precinct chairs showed up last night and elected Sharon Roberts by 3 votes.  She is a 58 year old woman, the only voter in her home, and has been registered to vote since 1996 but didn’t bother to do it until 2008.

She is also a blogger.  Now, I got some stuff to do today, but if you’re sitting around trying to stay out of this heat, please make yourself at home by finding some crazy stuff on her blog.  I’ve already found the part about the Founding Fathers being men of high moral character – Good Lord, where did these people learn history?

She’s asking to be paid to blog, but don’t give her money. There’s no need in encouraging this stuff.
