Goodness Sake.
Y’all, Trump’s memory of the meeting with “Chuck and Nancy” is growing dimmer.
Favorite Trump quotes from this morning:
“I didn’t pound the table. I didn’t pound the table.”
“I don’t have temper tantrums.”
“I’ll probably will do it, maybe definitely.”
“The buck stops with everybody”
“I’m a professional at technology”
So now we know: Trump definitely pounded the table, he has temper tantrums, he’s in the midst of a full bore meltdown, he won’t take responsibility for anything, and he knows zilch about tech.
Just a gentle reminder. This sits on my desk because I love Harry.
Thanks to Deb T for the heads up and the Truman sign on my desk.
“The buck stops with everybody”
And if that buck happens to go bankrupt, Trump gets the tax write off from it for 17 years.
1Hey Donnie, here’s one for you:
“My pump stops at the end of your a$$” ~ Speaker Nancy D. Pelosi
2The buck hasn’t entered the WH in past two years.
3A couple of suggestions for Trump: remove the White House Neo-Nazi known as Stephen Miller from his job as T’s immigration guru, get several former administration people who dealt with immigration issues like Jeh Johnson, etc. and sit down with these people, plus majority and minority leaders from the Senate and House and work out a border security menu.
4Fund the government before this meeting as a good faith gesture that you won’t walk out on deliberations before they are finished.
Today’s Trump: “I never said Mexico would pay for the wall.”
5Since I know that pajama boy blake’s doing have been of some interest here I give you new headline from “The Hill”
“Former Texas lawmaker Blake Farenthold resigns from lobbying job”
https://thehill.com/homenews/house/424772-former-texas-congressman-blake-farenthold-resigns-from-lobbying-job?
6I know someone else who retreats to the I don’t do it gambit whenever he is up against a wall and possibly in danger of apologizing and maybe even atoning. This is exactly what the Golden Gibbon is doing. I have given up on legal and moral and nature ways to deal with us and can only recommend rubbing the individual’s nose in a rough carpet like teaching a puppy not to wee on the rug.
7The problem is that Hair Furor has *never* played with his own money, or responsibility. It was always Daddy’s money, or some other sucker that was foolish enough to believe in him.
He truly doesn’t understand; money is just there for the chosen…

January 10 2019 Mango Mussolini melts down in McAllen, Texas, actually near the border. MAGAots nationwide enter trance-like state and have continuous micro ejaculations into own MAGA hats.
9Sandridge, the hypocrisy of the Cons is so in our face; it would almost sting that they actually think we would be as st00pid as they are. But Old Scratch McConnell sailed the Dem President Rep pResident double standard ship off the edge of the rubes flat earth. Maybe they should check Lyin’ Ryan’s old locker for legislative evidence they ever gave a rat’s butt about border security until Dotard45 needed cover for his campaign meme about this beautiful wall that would be on Mexico’s peso.
Barry Bamz signed an EO and they lost their collective fecal brain cells. RAT45 holds us, federal workers and Congress hostage with threats of Martial Law and it’s ho-hum.

What?
The two Houses will wake up if all of TSA walk away from their unpaid jobs. The ripple effect of pilots refusing to fly, ATC stoppage, passenger and FEDEX planes grounded, and all of the jobs of air terminals halted, and terminals closed would create a huge economic ding. But a total walk out could be the brick upside the head that the senate needs to finally end the gov shutdown over Rump’s objections.
12Those are good, but what about this?
“They say a wall is medieval, well so is a wheel. A wheel is older than a wall. The wheel is older than the wall, you know that? There are some things that work. You know what? A wheel works and a wall works. Nothing like a wall.”
What about a well? Or a will? Where there’s a will, there’s a well, you know that? A well works very very well. Oh crap, now I’m doing it…
13Paula K Martineau @10,
Yep, the hypocrisy meter is jammed on ’11’, irony is dead, satire is pointless.
The moranic witless Teabaggers devolved into MAGAots and will believe and do absolutely anything that their masters tell them to.
All the while baying at the sky and waving ‘Murikkkan flags and pocket Constitutions around, without having a clue what those symbols mean or stand for.
I sure hope that the Dems have some solid, sure, steady plans to undermine and neuter every one of the Rethugs, from DC to the smallest hamlet in the country. Just let the rest of us know what we can do. (and don’t y’all lose sight of what may ultimately be needed to be done, these vermin if trapped and faced with certain defeat can be extremely dangerous)
14FYI: This is probably the best source of Valley border information– The McAllen Monitor newspaper (online), especially today:
https://www.themonitor.com/
The Valley Morningstar (Harlingen):
https://www.valleymorningstar.com/
and The Brownsville Herald:

(they all used to be owned by the same RW outfit when I last subscribed to the VMS decades ago, not sure about that anymore)

16This is absurdly insane, a major military branch of the US government, the USCG, along with many other departments, is financially hamstrung because SOBOTUS continues in his tantrum.
The USCG is the only military or government division charged with all possible national security tasks in one branch (domestic sea, air, and land, with foreign missions when required).
Some civilian USCG workers have already missed paydays. Now the entire active duty force is looking to not getting paid, over 50,000 people serving their country (along with those ~800,000 already getting shafted). And it’s not just the basic pay, there are many other financial items involved that one doesn’t normally think about because they’re just ‘automatic’.
Our own Coasties, daughter and SiL, are getting anxious as it looks like they won’t be paid both salary and BAH on the upcoming January 15th CG-wide payday.
An entire military branch payless. What if this were the Army, Navy or Air Force?
From a US Coast Guard member’s advisory website (considering processing steps, even if some solution is worked out soon things will be delayed):
17“… In the coming days, our Service will begin to pass critical military and civilian pay-processing milestones necessary to meet regular pay cycles. Unfortunately, without an appropriation, a continuing resolution, or another legislative measure, the Coast Guard will not be able to meet the 15th payroll.”
