Fun With Guns: Professional Training

January 18, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Headed up to the cold in New Hampshire.

A civilian student suffered an accidental gunshot wound to the leg during firearms training at Sig Sauer Academy Wednesday night, police said.

Police Chief Michael Wallace said police were called to the facility on Route 27 around 7:15 p.m. after the student accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Ya gotta wonder where the target was.

I think maybe the need to scratch out that bottom line.

  3. Patrons: ya gotta follow the link and read the comments. There you will discover people, supposedly, who have the IQ of a pet rock. Homeskuled. Utterly Convinced of the rightness of their cause or position. Unable to understand or even consider the existence of an opinion different than their own. T Jefferson, who wrote at least once of the rationale for education must be scratching like he77 to get out of his coffin!

  4. Here’s the quote I couldn’t find earlier from T Jefferson on public education. The current snacilbupeR are, to me, anti-Jefferson in every point,
    “To give to every citizen the information he needs for the transaction of his own business;
    to enable him to calculate for himself, and to express and preserve his ideas, his contracts and accounts in writing;
    to improve, by reading, his morals and faculties;
    to understand his duties to his neighbors and country, and to discharge with competence the functions confided to him by either;
    to know his rights;
    to exercise with order and justice those he retains, to choose with discretion the fiduciary of those delegates;
    and to notice their conduct with diligence, with candor and judgment;
    and in general, to observe with intelligence and faithfulness all the social relations under which he shall be placed.
    (Report for University of Virginia, 1818)”

    Perhaps his good hand was trying to stop his bad leg?

    Seriously, I’d guess he was holstering a pistol without making sure that the chamber was empty. Score another one for guns don’t make you safer – they just let you shoot at things. (If you’re well-trained and maintain proficiency, you might hit what you intended to shoot.)

  6. Micr, the snacilbupeR don’t like non uh that their stuff. When they say they like Jefferson, they jus mean the slave ownin’ part.

    So many serious important planned gun situations in the US and so many embarrassing outcomes.

  10. The law which prevents people from suing gun manufacturers has to go. Just imagine all the $$$$$ they would be paying out to these bozos. Might be the beginning of the end.

  11. @ maryelle. The wholly owned subsidiary of the NRA aka the Republican Party will never allow that

    So people in calm controlled situations can’t keep from shooting themselves, but in an emergency they are the only ones we can count on. Peachy.
    The sign makes me wonder if Phillip-Morris has a how to smoke academy. It would make as much sense.

  13. President Hillary Clinton will most likely be the one to order the DOJ to take a look at the NRA business license and find good reason to yank it. Without that particular license, they will be turned into a complete and total non-profit and have to function differently. Let’s see what happens then!

    Micr: THAT is perfection. Instead of the Ten Commandments, Jefferson’s words should be written in stone in front of every courthouse… and every school in this country.
