Fun With Guns: Pedicure the Hard Way
Okay, here’s the story —
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) — An Indianapolis man was taken to the hospital Monday night after he shot himself while trying to conceal a gun during a traffic stop, according to Police.
WTHR reports, 22-year-old Paden Moody was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on 38th street in Indianapolis, when he shot himself in the foot during a traffic stop. Moody, who is not licensed to carry a handgun, was trying to hide the gun in his pants when he accidentally fired the gun.
I guess he should thank small, small blessings that it didn’t hit anything on the way down.
Thanks to PK for the heads up.
You still need a license in Indiana? The tea baggery is strong in that one, I see change coming.
1Darned if the name, Paden Moody, doesn’t sound like a character out of Deliverance.
2Looks like one, too. And the fact he isn’t licensed to carry implies the rest. Wonder if he can pick a banjo.
How many now with loaded guns in the pants, who miss everything and shoot themselves in the foot or leg? Gives credence to the theory that the pistol is a substitute for what they lack. Or, how do they explain how they keep missing?
3Don’t worry. This cretin will try, try again until he gets it right and turns himself into a soprano.
4Too bad he missed his privates. Wouldn’t want his genes to be passed on.
5Maybe the target was too small
6A rolled pair of socks would have been safer and looks more natural.
7One hopes the other “gun” in his pants doesn’t go off as easily!
8I’m just sayin’.
I feel sorry for the poor foot that couldn’t defend itself because feet aren’t allow to carry guns.
9Cole, you are accurate. I understand that is what W used when he strutted across the aircraft carrier (where he was piloted) for his “Mission Accomplished” media event.
10OldMayfly: in his pants or in his skull?
11This guy is lucky that the police didn’t return fire. Once they hear a shot from within a car they’ve stopped, they tend to assume the worst and defend themselves.
12As for hitting something “on the way down” I suspect that the bullet was larger than the target.
13well, since I lived in that part of Indy for a long time, he was damn lucky he even lived to say his ‘body parts’ were still attached. Wasn’t far from there in 76 my 4 year old in the back yard hit the dirt when bullets when flying across the yard…drug deal went sour… He looks like one of those ‘hillbillies from WV or KY’ though…and no comments on them..
