Fun With Guns: Cockroach Edition

March 20, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

This could not happen in a normal world. This right here is living proof that we are living in weird times.

Mark the time and place: it started in Detroit.

A man trying to kill a cockroach ended up with a bullet wound in his foot Tuesday morning at a home in the 18700 block of Albion Street in Detroit.

Police said the 50-year-old man, who uses a wheelchair, threw his shoe at the cockroach in an effort to kill the bug. However, his revolver was inside the shoe. The gun fell out of the shoe, discharged and a bullet struck him in his foot.

Condition of the cockroach is unknown.

Guns are quite frivolous about where they aim when left on their own.

Thanks to Claudia for the heads up.

I’d say a shoe makes a very poor holster for your gun!

  6. My sainted father always opined that cockroaches were on the planet before human beans emerged from the muck and would inhabit the planet long after the last human bean passed on. Now we may know why. Maybe they have been allowing humans to exist all this time, for their own amusement.

Was this a good foot stopping a bad foot?

  8. Sounds to me that after shooting himself in the foot, and he belatedly realized what a stupendously dumbass idea it was, the great cockroach saga was the best way to avoid embarrassment.

    Dooohh!!!

  9. Somewhere in Detroit, behind layers of drywall, between the 2×4’s, young cockroaches gather around the slightly overloaded electrical outlet, to hear the tale of a hero who rose from among them, the one they now call – – The Exterminator.

  10. When I saw the headline, I assumed it was somebody trying to shoot a cockroach and probably shooting himself in the nadgers, but they always find a creative way to be stupid….

“This guy is BADDER than Leroy Brown, who kept a .32 gun in his pocket, for fun, but only kept a razor in his shoe.”

The shoe always hated that foot. At last, it saw its chance.

  13. Speaking of cockroaches how bad do you have to be to be too unethical to represent Alex Jones?
    I give you marc randazza.
Fortunately for your esteemed son thanks to a Connecticut judge he won’t have to deal with him.

  14. How about a gofundme to buy this guy a pair of them fancy pointy-toed Texas boots? Said boot type known best for scrunching–what else– cockroaches in a corner.

PS: The address given for this incident is in one of the more ghetto areas of eastside Detroit, about a mile south of EightMile Road. Homes are selling for $5,000-30,000 in that ‘hood.

  17. daChipster, the map at the link showed just south of 7, mentioned 8Mile ’cause it’s in pop culture. My first year of uni was at a Jesuit school, UoD, on 6 Mile/McNichols about ten miles west of there.
