Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
It’s a shame when the Friday cartoons aren’t even close to being funny anymore!!
:o(
1I wouldn’t have been surprised if a member of the school board was the one holding up that sign.
2@glf … it could very well be … making the cartoon even sadder.
3Excellent, just excellent. But like Marcia in CO says, it’s getting harder and harder to laugh.
4In Jefferson County CO the school board IS holding those signs:

Despite massive protests, student marches, teacher sick-outs, 40,000 signatures against them, and three hours of overflow opposition in a meeting, their right-wing history agenda passed with a weak compromise 3-2.

And I have seen NOTHING about this except in the online Guardian, a newspaper based in Britain. The NY Times covered it, but not the WashPost, CNN, MSNBC, or anyone else I checked.
