  1. Love the second one especially! The reliance on Tinker Bell is totally right on!

  2. The second cartoon just ‘sums’ it up.

  3. Every one of the ‘toons exposes a fundamental weakness in the Republican thought process, from charter schools sucking out funding from public schools, anti women propaganda, and opposition to any kind of health care. How can anyone who is not an old white male support them?

  4. Marge Wood says:

Schools are often “the happenin’ place”, esp. in small rural communities. If schools go, the community pretty much goes. Well, there’s church but they don’t get everyone in town together in one place. Hmm. Except for funerals. I guess folks could announce “Brother Billy Wayne’s funeral is at the First Baptist Church where we will also call a short town meeting after the obituaries and before the trip to the cemetery.” How’s that sound?

  5. I couldn’t even summon a smile, because they’re all too true. We can’t outspend the b@$t@rds, but we can all REGISTER and VOTE, and urge everyone we know to do the same, every primary, every general, every year.

  6. Marge Wood says:

And not only vote but know who we’re voting for and helping campaign for them in every way possible. T shirts, phone calls, bumper stickers, signs, doorknocking, letters to editor, explaining to edgy neighbors, all of it, plus money.

  7. Marge Wood says:

speaking of which, it takes a dang long time to come up with good candidates. Right now is a good time to start hunting around for good candidates for several years down the road–watching voting records, if they are already in office, listening.

  8. Just discovered your website and I love it! Some pretty good cartoons here, especially the first, and margie is right that the Tinkerbell reference in the second is spot on! The only thing that bothers me is the conflating of chromosomes with gender in the last one, especially since poverty/homelessness disproportionately affect the transgender community. But apart from that one thing, these are definitely a cut above the usual political cartoons.
